Devard Darling signs with KC (1 Viewer)

agreed. Jeff Webb is far from a lock to hold down that position. He's worth a flier in deep dynasty leagues for sure.

I added him to my practice squad before free agency starting hoping for him to land in a situation just like this. KC gives him a great chance to start and show what he can do. So much of this league is about getting the opportunity and this might be his best chance.

He has lit it up in preseason games, but has never played much during the regular season. Not sure why. I would guess he was raw coming out of college where he didn't play many games and left a year early after haveing a real good year as a junior. Seems to have size and speed. Must be his route running and hands that has been keeping him on the bench.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I don't know much about this guy.. anyone have any insight?
Originally played at Florida State, but transferred to Washington State after his twin brother (Florida State LB) Devaughn Darling died unexpectedly. Was a junior entry to the 2004 draft, where he was selected in the third round (four spots behind Bernard Berrian). Had a very quiet career until last season when he posted over 300 yards in an eight game stretch filling in for an injured Demetrius Williams. Big guy with decent speed. Not a burner, but not slow. Was a standout at Washington State. Believe he had at least one 1,000 yard season there. He was considered a raw prospect coming out, but a handful of people thought he had first round type talent. Definitely a guy to watch as a DEEP sleeper going into next year.

Yikes. The Chiefs have some of the most work to do and have done virtually nothing.
 And that's not going to change. We are determined to suck in 2008.We did we sign Gonzo to that fat contract if we were determined to rebuild as he broke down? Same with Larry Johnson?By the time we right the ship (2010?) they will both be useless.
