Devy League hardest decision IMO (1 Viewer)

When deciding talent of a devy draft you know some of the top players are already on rosters, so sometimes you must decide between a very good option in the current NFL draft and a very good option in next year's draft.  If you have the top pick in this year's devy draft in a PPR league and had to decide between someone like Sony Michel (from this year's draft) or A J Brown (from next year's NFL draft), who would you take?  This is the type of decision that is agonizing in devy leagues that combine both the current NFL draft eligible players with underclassmen, but I like it that way.  It makes owners make hard decisions rather than just taking the obvious player because your options are limited.

Some might say the decision is determined by team needs.  Do I need Michel now?  Can I wait on Brown to enter the league next year?  Some might even take someone like J K Dobbins over Sony Michel or A J Brown.  I personally feel this is the hardest thing about devy leagues.  Yes, that would be a nice problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.  No one wants to pick a bust in that situation.

I'm in a devy league & would like to get rid of the devy stuff & I'm not alone. With that said, I traded all my devy picks pre-season last year. I'd rather get proven talent that can help me now unless I'm stacked

Why would you want to "get rid of" devy stuff?  I love the devy format and I think the hard decisions you must make between the current draft and underclassman from future drafts, adds another element of skill to a league.   It's easy to draft when you're limited to the current draft only, especially in the top half of the 1st round.  Also, I'm against separating the devy draft and current draft.  I prefer they are combined.  It makes for a more interesting league IMO.

They are separate in my league. Sold off the picks because I don't follow college ball & didn't want the added PITA it brought for me. I won the league so it worked out.

I had 1.01 and traded down to 1.04. The decision for me will be easier. If I still had pick 1, I would take BPA from this year's draft over a devy. Or trade down if there's nothing super exciting to you at 1.
