I start by saying I only caught the last 4/5 of the interview, and I believe it was Afternoon Drive with Jim Miller and Adam Schein. Picked up where they asked him about working with Gruden and Miller made a point of saying how good he was to work with. Bradford agreed and Miller then asked something about "Have you learned how to reduce injuries" (something along those lines). Bradford kind of hedged around the question and Miller basically said "Let me interject...the answer is "Yes". You can reduce your injuries" and continued about knowing your routes, schemes, etc., so that you reduce the chance of getting blinsided. They then asked Bradford about where they are with negotiations in a couple of different ways and he gave the canned answer "I put my trust in my agent, if he thinks negotiating on the front-end is better for us, so be it; if not I can live with that too" (no issues there). They they asked some questions about STL in general and would he like to go there. This is where he really beat around the bush and did not give any type of answer with committment (even a "If they take me that is great, if not I will be thrilled to go anywhere else". Again, these quotes are not exact, just the jist, but the hosts and even I took it as though he really does not want to end up there. He really didn't even say he liked the people, etc., just seemed to give vacant answers, without any enthusiasm. If you look into that, it may explain why they have not really gotten into negotiations and interestingly he only met with STL and WAS. Now, my guess is that if for some reason STL does not work out, WAS can't really take him and then we may see some jockeying after that #1 pick...will be pretty interesting to see.
Not really "news", but just an observation; especially interesting since lately it seems as though these negotiations are well under way before 72 hours until the draft.
