Did anyone see Javon Walker on Sunday? (1 Viewer)

I have one word.. WOW!! He looks good guys. He tore his ACL in the first week last year so has had time to recover. He looks comfortable out there catching the ball and getting hit. His first catch was amazing because he got drilled, and hung on to the ball. Anybody else ready to jump on the Javon Walker band wagon? I can see him posting around 1200 yards and 7-9 TD's!!

all these ACL guys look great - Palmer, Culpepper, Braylon Edwards among others. Time to revise the fantasy comeback schedule for players who tear their ACLs.

Lets see how the season goes before we do this. Though I must say I am surprised at how well they have looked.

Wasn't Javon's much less serious than Culpepper's or Palmer's? Plus, it happened in September '05, so he's had a full year to recover, so I don't think his sitaution is comparable to the others

Javon is gonna rock and roll this season. Rod will get a few to move the chains, JW is going to be yanking down the 40 yard Plummer heat-seaking missiles. 1350 and 9, kids. It's crazy, but it's true.

I see that as possible, but I also don't expect to see monster numbers until he's played a few regular season games in this O. I don't expect him to start strong. I expect him to finish strong and be the man when it counts - Playoffs.

that would mean Plummer would have to switch from his regular progressions which are Rod, Rod, stare at rod some more, hesitate a second while staring at rod, throw it at rod, say sorry to rod for getting him killed. And yes I'm a broncos homer.

regarding the quick healing for QBs and WRs

do we still have the exception for RB or has medical technology and rehab advanced so much?

Rod is still the #1 here. 1200/8

Walker will be good, but hes still a year away. 950/6
Rod does seem to be sipping the fountain of youth. 85 catches last year for 1100 yards and 6 TD's. I can't see his numbers going up with the presence of of Javon on the other side. Expect Rod to start strong and Javon to finish strong.

So trade Smith for Walker at mid-season then, coach?
Might be a good time to move Rod and acquire Javon

Smith has not had 8 TD's in the last 4 years:2002 he had 52003 he had 32004 he had 72005 he had 6How do you figure Rod will have his best TD productiong in the last five year this year? He is a year older and he now has a better red zone target in town to compete with. Jake threw 2 balls into the end zone last preseason game and they were both at Walker. I think you might want to change those TD predictions.

I know diesel is a smart man and needs no help, but Denver has an easy passing SOS.Their average opponent is a 22nd ranked Pass Def.Yes I own Javon and was pleased w/his play.

Walker playing well was just a motivational ploy for Tatum Bell and force Brett Favre to retire by the end of the next preseason game. Once the season starts his play will decrease

I agree completely. Last year Pennington supposedly made a miracle recovery and it turned out they rushed him back. I'm very curious how this works, but so far they do look good.

You're early. And there is no comparison between say, a QB and an RB here.
You obviously know nothing about the human body.Given the nature of Palmer's injury and when it occured, it's absolutely amazing he's even practicing, much less throwing 3 TD passes against my not so great Green Bay Packers. Given Culpepper's injury, it's absolutely amazing that he was running when he was. He pretty much completely tore the head of his femur from the head of his tibia... it was hanging by a string- literally. The fact that he's taking snaps, throwing a football... unbelievable. Walker is a different story, he had practically a year to rehab. His knee is looking great. You tear a ligament such as the ACL... you don't have your full range of motion, full strength, full speed, and full ability to play sports to your best for 12-18 months... the fact that these guys are out there is unbelievable. Their doctors did incredible jobs and I give them a lot of credit for rehabbing as hard as they did and getting themselves strong enough to play so soon. Wow...it's absolutely mindboggling. Surgical procedures have come a long way in the last 2-4 years...
