Because you might not be resisting arrest but get charged for it?No need to fear! The NBPA is on the case! I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it.
Do we really have to discuss the perils of resisting arrest? I mean, seriously, why is this even an issue?
for most people or Max?Because you might not be resisting arrest but get charged for it?No need to fear! The NBPA is on the case! I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it.

Or the cops, as is always the unwritten rule and is taught within the Thin Blue Line, simply yell "stop resisting!" so that bystanders think you're resisting while they dog pile on you and beat you? I mean, seriously, is that a difficult concept to understand?
Oh, that's right. I forgot. This is the "I hate cops" crowd.Because you might not be resisting arrest but get charged for it?No need to fear! The NBPA is on the case! I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it.

Nah, I'm just done with the instrument of government force being protected by war equipment, shady tactics and unionization.Oh, that's right. I forgot. I didn't see any resisting arrest in that video. I saw overzealous cops getting off on beating someone up for no reason. I mean, that never happens, right?MaxThreshold said:No need to fear! The NBPA is on the case! I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it.

http://www.si.com/nba/2015/04/15/thabo-sefolosha-nypd-police-report-chris-copeland-stabbingAt the time, the source said, Sefolosha and Antic were walking down the block to get into a car that would take them back to their team hotel. The source said Sefolosha did not run toward the cop as the complaint said. Rather, the source said “Sefolosha turns to him and asked in substance what the officer’s problem was with him.’” At this point, the source said, Sefolosha and the officer got into an argument, which led to Sefolosha’s arrest for obstruction a governmental function, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The arrest took place at the corner of 10th Avenue, more than 120 feet away from the scene of the stabbing at 1OAK night club.
People at clubs till 4am are known to never lie.Cops routinely lie and the charges are specious.
The cop who broke Thabo's leg should be personally liable.
Alas, it's the taxpayers who will pay any financial damages.
Thabo played that night in Atlanta and flew ahead of the team to NY to go clubbing...instead he got clubbed.People at clubs till 4am are known to never lie.Cops routinely lie and the charges are specious.

I don't necessarily think it's a good idea for an NBA player to be at a nightclub at 4:00 am either.People at clubs till 4am are known to never lie.Cops routinely lie and the charges are specious.

But they work at night and I'm sure he could still get proper rest before the game.
If I have to make a prediction on who's telling the truth in this case -- a class guy like Thabo Sefolosha who has no history of trouble . . . or a costumed thug -- my money's on Thabo.
Do the cops involved have a history? If you want to be fair in your judgement, which I know you don't, you should compare the arrest records of NBA players, not an individual. That's what you are doing for the cops.I don't necessarily think it's a good idea for an NBA player to be at a nightclub at 4:00 am either.People at clubs till 4am are known to never lie.Cops routinely lie and the charges are specious.
