Knoxville, TN.

Poll wasn't crowded at all but it was 2:00 PM. Lady said they had been steady all with some very busy times.

Tuesday not super in AZ. Have my mail in ballot though. Usually fill out and drop off on election day. Like the feel of going to a polling station instead of just mailing it.

For some reason I didn't get my California mail in ballot until Saturday, which I mailed yesterday and I have no idea why it was delayed as in the past I have gotten it a good two weeks before the election.

I did. About a 2 hour process because of the storms and closed precincts on our side of town.  That is what i get for missing the early voting window.

Voted early on opening weekend to avoid the crowds. We went on a Sunday shortly after the station opened at 1:00 pm, only a few people there.

I noticed this year the voting machines/ballots were improved. In the past I would insert a card into the machine, make my selections, confirm on the screen, and then take the card to a box and deposit it. The card looked like a credit or debit card.

This year I inserted a paper ballot into the machine and made my selections. After confirmation at the end, the paper ballot printed out a list of my selections where I could verify all were correct. Then I scanned that ballot into another machine that recorded the results and the paper ballot went into a locked box if a manual recount was necessary.

I liked having the ability to verify my selections on the printed paper ballot prior to submitting them into the 2nd machine.

Yup...took about an hour.  I always seem to time my arrival with the arrival of the nursing home bus.  At 53 I may have been the youngest person there in that hour.

No. I'm a registered Republican in AZ. No sense in doing it.

ETA: And I probably won't on 3/17 when the primary is actually held. :lmao:

Easy in and out today.  Our polling place is usually one of the busiest and the building is under demolition/rebuilding so they had tents set up in the parking lot.  Very organized though, only reason it took more than 3 minutes was a guy was wanting to file a provisional ballot in front of me rather than driving 3-4  miles down the road to his correct polling location.

Waited in line an hour and 45 minutes in the hot sun. Totally sunburned. Back is killing me. Couldn't stop thinking about Guinness in line so picked some up on the way home. Felt a sense of accomplishment walking out of the store with my "I Voted" sticker on and bag full of cold ones.

You’re a great American, except for the Guinness part.

We have a TON of super easy access to early voting but I kind of like waiting till the actual day.

It was sort of fun today as there were some little kids and the older people volunteering at the voting area clearly were enjoying telling them about it.

This is the perfect Political Forum Post.

These are the stories that make me proud to be an American.

The only reason I like my vote in early is you get to see your vote more in the early results rather than get buried later.

Yes, usually where I vote there are lines, it was steady but no lines. One of mine retired friends works there and said numbers were down at 3pm with no lines all day.

Voted. Super easy in California. Received the ballot by mail, filled it out this morning at home, and dropped it off at the polling station with no line today.

(I made a mistake and voted the opposite way I intended on two ballot measures, but my preference wasn't strong enough on those two issues to get a new ballot and redo it. Oops.)

Voted.  For some reason, I refuse to do mail-in ballots.  I just don't trust it, I guess.  I want to know I went to the polling station and it was recorded.

My state hasnt had its primary yet. But as an independent, I’m not allowed to take part anyway
