Didnt Avril get a sack last night? (1 Viewer)

According to the play-by-play Vanden Bosch got the sack
(12:38) J.Cutler sacked at DET 46 for 0 yards (K.Vanden Bosch).

Cutler got away from Avril and Vanden Bosch sacked him up the field.
Well, I think the scorekeeper made a mistake... It looked like avril sacked cutler about the 3rd or 4th play of the game. CBS sportsine gave him the sack, then took it away. ill have to watch the replay to come to my conclusion, i guess.

I wasn't really paying attention at the time, but I think it was some play where there might have been a couple guys involved, where maybe avril just about had him and kvb fell on him as he went down, or something like that.
pretty sure I heard the announcer calling it an avril sack, but then I looked at play by play on nfl.com and it was credited to kvb.

I think what happened on the play, is that Avril forced Cutler out of the pocket, Cutler then stumbled while trying to scramble. Not sure if Avril touched him. When Cutler landed on the ground, KVB was the first player to touch him.
I wondered if they were going to count this as a sack, or a Cutler rushing attempt.

Yea, thats the play im talking about. i thought avril reached out with his left hand, tripping up cutler, then kvb landed on him ... almost a late hit. its either cutler stumbled on his own, or avril got a sack with kvb hittin cutler while he was already down.

Yes that is what happened. I thought it was a sack for avril because he tripped cutler up and he fell and for some reason they gave it to kvb after he touched cutler once he was on the ground. I don't know the ins and outs of these things but it seemed to me avril made the play that caused cutler to go down.

This sack was corrected and given to Avril.

Your league has to have it set up to correct. It can also be done manually.We had a big stink about it a few years ago and wrote it into our league bylaws that stat changes are automatically implemented.We've had games flip on Thursdays after stat changes.'Shawnky said:
