Dusky Pygmy Rattlesnake. Sistrurus miliarius barbouri. Average size: 12-24 inches; Record 31 inches. Range: Throughout Florida. Diet: Mice, frogs, lizards and snakes. Status: Common, found in lowland pinewoods, prairies, around lakes and ponds, and near freshwater marshes and cypress swamps.

So not necessarily in, but around. I would bet the part that you would have to be most aware around would be around the perimeter service paths that are basically in a swamp environment.
