Sproles will be the difference.
Possibly but I really expect the game to come down to whether or not the Steelers offense can protect the ball. If they do they'll win.

haha, I was about to post the very same thing. These are not at all of note.

Hoping for a Chargers upset win for my birthday.

Hoping for a good game from both sides (every other game has been so sloppy).

Hoping both Bolt fans and Steeler fans keep it civil in this thread today!

Good luck gents, let's get it on! ;)

Man I get so nervous before these games. Being a football fan is an addiction, not necessarily a good one. Somehow the euphoria of a playoff victory is never equal to the pain of a playoff defeat. I often think, I could just stop being a Steeler fan at any time. After all, I don't live there. Nobody would care if I simply shut off the TV this afternoon. I could do much needed chores. So what if Pittsburgh wins or loses? In the long run, it doesn't mean anything does it?

Does it?

I am so nervous right now.

When the Chargers lost to the Patriots three years ago in the Divisional round in San Diego I was sick. I didn't eat for three days and it was all I could do to even speak to my wife and kids let alone anyone else. I vowed to never take football or the Chargers that serious again. Now, while I'm still more nervous than I would like to be today, I don't think I'll go off the deep end if the Chargers don't win today. I could see how a Steelers fan might have more pressure since they are "supposed" to win today.Back to the main point... why do we do this to ourselves again? Oh yea... I love the NFL.

You're exactly right, though. It's always worse when you're expected to win. I was nowhere near this nervous last year against Jacksonville. We were supposed to lose that game, and we did (though we shouldn't have.)

The Chargers have deactivated RB LaDainian Tomlinson due to his lingering groin injury. The Chargers had planned on making Tomlinson a game-time decision after he missed practice all week and was listed as “doubtful” on Friday’s injury report. Tomlinson played just over a quarter in last week’s overtime wild-card win over the Colts.

Inactives

Chargers: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd), RB LaDainian Tomlinson, RB Billy Latsko, FB Mike Tolbert, LB Anthony Waters, G Kynan Forney, T Corey Clark and DT Ian Scott.

Steelers: QB Dennis Dixon (3rd), FS Anthony Smith, DB Fernando Bryant, LB Bruce Davis, T Tony Hills, T Jason Capizzi, DT Scott Paxson and DE Orpheus Roye.

You shouldn't get so worked up over something you have no control over and win or lose has little to no affect on your life.

This is 100% true and I tell myself this all the time, but it does not work.

No LT vs Indy was one thing... but if one guy you need... vs Pit is LT. Steelers got lucky on this one. There's still a game to play.

Chargers going for the throat early! Steelers defense seems slow on this field. Can't get pressure, Sproles outrunning the defense. And big plays from the Bolts.

Just my hunch that the Chargers are extremely pissed off as a team from the enormous disrespect they've been getting. I still think the Steelers squeak out a close game but anyone thinking this is a Steelers rout doesn't like money.

So was that a statement by the Chargers offense? They've been hearing all week about how they wouldn't be able to move the ball.

#54 Cooper for the Chargers is so small he couldn't see where Parker was going on that last run over the heads of the line - he completely picked the wrong hole.

gonna be a good game. we have to realize after the bye week... this team was 5-3... with the 3 losses mostly on the road to playoff quality teams by less than a score. bolts aint' bad. but this is a LT-less test...
