Do you think the Titans are being truthful about them taking Young at #3?

I dont believe it at all.

Leinart, Cutler.....Young.
You cant be serious .Cutler is way , way , way , way overrated he will be a bust, a cant miss bust .

Let the Jets take him .
:lmao: How cute. Another guy that is clueless about Cutler, yet is willing to throw a label on him.

The Titans want to make sure the Jets don't jump them for a low round choice. The Saints could swap with the Jets for a third or fourth and get their guy and have to pay less. The Titans know this is a real possibility. So how do you prevent this from happening and get your guy. Tell everyone you like another guy so even if someone jumps you then you get the guy you really wanted. If Leinart gets picked then you pick Young anyway. If it looks like smoke and smells like smoke then it probably is smoke.

On the other habd they could want everyone to think exactly what I just wrote!

Got to love the draft!

I agree with all of that. Especially the last bits.

With Norm Chow onboard you can forget about Young. End of story. Leinart will be their pick. Too bad though. Although Leinart may be more ready now, Young is a special player who could lead to greatness while Leinart could lead to better than good. The NFL at it's finest...what is good now by the measureables vs. instincts and what is good in the long run.

Chow, who barely kept his job this year, is going to influence the choice of which QB Bud Adams gives $20mil in guarantees to?
Could you flesh this out diesel? I hadn't heard or read anything about Chow being in trouble. Seems illogical given it was his 1st year, the Titans were young and limited in talent on offense, and given his pedigree.

Seems like the Titans are going out of their way to profess their love for Young. Do you think this is legit? Or a smokescreen to try and lure Oakland (or someone else) into a trade?

If the first two picks are non QBs, will the Titans take Young at #3?

J
not a chance.Leinart at #3 all the way..take it to the bank..its a smokescreen by Tenn to make Oakland trade up to get VY at #2, so that Leinart will slide to #3...

FWIW Jay Glazer has this on FoxSports on his mock draft.....

3. Titans

If they go with Vince Young then the front office is sending a message to the coaching staff that they are simply grooming him for the next staff. Little known story: When the Vikings were shopping Daunte Culpepper, they pretty much had a done deal with Tennessee until Culpepper told them he wouldn't play there. Why had they gone after him? According to team sources, offensive coordinator Norm Chow wanted Leinart but didn't think he would be there at No. 3 (this was before the Saints signed Brees). Chow didn't want Vince Young or Jay Cutler so they went after 'Pep.

The Culpepper rumors have pretty well been debunked here in NashVegas. As for the Front Office grooming him for the next staff...I think the FO is in more trouble thatn the Head Coach.

Voted no. I really do think that they will take Young.

I think that every team who passes on VY will end up regretting it down the road.

edit: er i read the poll wrong. No, I do not think it is a smokescreen.
