Neighbors OK with that?I slept till 7:00, got up and went to cut the grass
Used to have a neighbor that liked to have loud parties until 4 AM. I would try to be out mowing the lawn by 8 those mornings. Always got the stink eye.

Yeah. Our neighbors are great. To be fair, I wouldn't usually do it that early, but my wife goes to the gym with the closest neighbor's wife so I knew she was up to go to the class with her. The husband goes out for a run ~6:30-7:00 every day. He actually thanked me as his kids were pseudo-camping in the back yard and my mowing kept them from sleeping till noon.Neighbors OK with that?

This is me. Always tired. I need to get some medical testing done I'm sure.I can sleep till noon, take a nap at 4:00 and go to bed at 9:30-10:00
I'm up at 7am on weekdays. I'll sometimes wake up much earlier but can usually drift back to sleep but it's bad sleep.I can't and my wife can. So frustrating.
Honestly, this sounds horrible. Maybe it is because I'm older, but I can't imagine wasting that much of my life sleeping. Obviously if this is due to a medical condition, than that's different. But even then, it would depress me.I can sleep till noon, take a nap at 4:00 and go to bed at 9:30-10:00.
i used to be that way, but in the last few years it has changed for me. i sleep in whenever possible.I think this is an issue associated with age. I'm out of bed by 5:30 every morning during the week to get ready for work. On the weekends when I have nothing to do I wouldn't mind sleeping in a little, but I'm usually wide awake by 5:30.
I was at a graduation party last night until midnight. My daughter and I messed around with guitars when we go home until about 1:00 AM. I had quite of few beers at the party. I was awake this morning by 5:30 AM.I think the last time I made it until 6:30-7:00 was when I was out until 2:30-3:00.
I understand if you have little ones at home, but my kids are both adults and out of the house.
Anyone else have problems sleeping in?
Is it age or anxiety? I am rarely able to fall back asleep after the sun is up and I have no commitments. But there are many things I should be doing.Im 36 ... strange what a year can do, but when I was 35 I could sleep in as long as I wanted. Sure - I will wake up at the “normal” time, but still be able to fall right back asleep once I realized it wasn’t a week day.
Now? No chance. This year, I’m calling it the year of “no sleeps”
doesnt matter what day it is, I wake up at 7am
pretty sure getting older sucks
I've been on a CPAP for 18 months or so, and still the same. The only thing that seemed to help my energy level was when I doing Keto. And when I was on a steroid pack for an inflamed rotator cuff. Which ironically, I think I hurt while sleeping,I can sleep till noon, take a nap at 4:00 and go to bed at 9:30-10:00
**IMPORTANT UPDATE** - this no longer drives my wife nuts. The pandemic helped, but the kids are now at an age that they leave her alone until after she gets out of bed each morning. I'm usually asleep sometime in the 11's and rarely wake up before 7:30-8.The rare times we dont have morning events on non work days (currently sitting in a car waiting for rain to stop at track meet one of two for the day) I will usually sleep til 8 or so. Drives my wife nuts. And me 10 years ago is screaming HOW IS 8 SLEEPING IN
Are you me? My alarm is set for 645 during the week, haven't slept that late in a long time. My stress wake up is usually a little later, around 4am. I make myself try to sleep until 6am no matter what.Cannot sleep in anymore. On a normal, no stress day, I usually wake up before my alarm (which is set for 7 am) by around 6:30.
On a high stress day, I usually wake up around 2 or 3 am, instantly start thinking about work the next day, and cannot fall back asleep. I'll go downstairs and watch some TV, and try to fall asleep, which usually happens around 6:59.
On the weekends I am up before 7, and use the morning to play video games before the rest of the house is up and I have to do something productive.
I can't tell you the last time I slept through the night without waking up several times.Absolutely. I typically stay up until 2-3 am, and wake up at 9 or 10. But I'm a fitful sleeper, and wake up 2-3 times during that period.

Weighted blanket has done wonders for me.I can't tell you the last time I slept through the night without waking up several times.
On an off day, I am a 7-8 guy as well. Whether I went to bed at 10 or 1, doesn’t matter. However, I have noticed on the few occasions I fall asleep on the couch in my basement and don’t move back up to bed, I sometimes sleep until 9 or 10. I think it being totally dark helps a lot.I don't seem to be able to sleep much past 7am anymore. Really sucks if I stay up late (past midnight basically), as I'm pretty useless the next day.
I have a similar situation. I'm 45.I more or less sleep 7 hours. So if I go to bed early, I'm up early. I can't seem to sleep in past that much. Idk when it happened but I'm in my 20s so I don't think its an old age thing.
Step daughter got me one after I got one for her at Christmas, since she liked it so well. I will try it again in the fall/winter, but I don't like to run the AC enough to keep it "cold" so it was a little warm for me in the summer.Weighted blanket has done wonders for me.
Yes, for summer they can get warm. Gotta maintain a lower than average temperature. But if I zero in on that they really do work.Step daughter got me one after I got one for her at Christmas, since she liked it so well.
