Most people's accounts are set up so that only their friends can view them. So the only info you'd be able to get is whether they have an account or not.

Someone help me find this option. Not wanting to be a snob, I friended some chick I barely knew the other day and now she is posting updates every half hour about passing out her daughter's girl scout cookies, how she is going to do some work at home while her husband watches the Wings game tonight, etc...I need to limit this garbage from my page. Please help!

On the home page, scroll over one of her updates. An Edit thing should appear... click on it.

Or they can have it set up where their network can view. Some networks are region, university, high school, etc.I'm on Facebook, but I will probably stop posting or get off it altogether if they go back to a new TOS (which they had to revoke due to complaints) where Facebook practically owns all your content. To me, it's not worth it to give up your content just to connect with friends online.

When I clicked it, it gave me this application window:
"Allowing f a c e b o o k - - closing down!!! access will let it pull your profile information, photos, your friends' info, and other content that it requires to work."
And then asked me to hit a button allowing access.
Is this just a sly way of getting me to install an application?

Yep.1. Start a thread here about the website you wish to promote.2. Use the "share a link" feature on facebook to direct all your friends to FBG, where they will see the thread you started in step #1.Easy.

Did this ever get answered? I just got my first request from someone I work with. I set up a "work" list, but under privacy it seems like the settings are universal. What am I missing?

I've got a 15 year old cousin who's my friend on facebook, goes to Christian school, family is very conservative. I'm going to be posting videos of myself doing stand-up comedy on there, and I'm going to be doing a few things that I'd rather her not see. Is there any way I can block one person from seeing my videos?

Same here.I'm feeling a lot of pressure from mere acquaintenances requesting friendship.... and old chick schoolmates that used to want some of this... I can't friend them and let them see what a disgrace their stud has become.and the cripple guy I felt sorry for so was nice to him once or twice, then felt sorry for him again and confirmed his friend request... now all I get is requests to race or fight him in stupid facebook games.
