No, but everybody waves goodbye to one another.

Now that we're back to face-to-face meetings, I've been making a point to wave goodbye to everyone at the conclusion of each meeting.  This is going to be my new personal real-shtick.  I'll report back on the results.
How about this one in the meeting room: "Can you hear me?.... CAN YOU HEAR ME?... I can't hear you..."

My company uses Microsoft Teams. I was able to change my Outlook avatar from the company picture of me to one I took of an elk over a year ago.

This has bee one of the bizarre phenomenons as my WFH has evolved.  Early on, lots of people turned their cameras on, I think to show people they were really working and not sitting by the pool.  Then a couple months went by and people probably became slobs or really were by the pool and stopped turning their cameras on.  Now, it's hit or miss but I definitely have noticed people waving by at the end of meetings and like a freaking lemming I've started doing it too.  So weird.

ETA - only when someone else does it - I don't initiate it, I'm not a pyscho

I've just started working in an office that's still full time WFH, like I don't even really have an office. I have the key to an office to use if I need to come in and print stuff out, but I won't even leave a picture in it. It's only 4 months (considering longer but that's for now) and we don't even do meetings over teams. We live on email. It would be so freaking easy to go rent a cabin. BUT my kids start school Wednesday. So that's out. Otoh, I'll have the house to myself and 2 dogs. I'll be going full Lebowski. Only without anything under the robe.

Our company has an all-hands meeting every Thursday morning, and our CEO requests that everyone turn their cameras on.  Some still don't.  I do.  It's the one day (other than days I have meetings w/ a client involved) where I wear a collared shirt, and I don't really need to.  I don't wave goodbye or do anything special.

Now, if I'm on a 1-on-1 call or in a smaller meeting with co-workers and/or clients, I will do a little smile thingy as I say my goodbye.

This whole WFH / Zoom call environment is really weird.  I'm a year-plus in and still am all awkward and stuff.

Weird, I often wave both hello and goodbye in person.  I also raise the octave of my voice and smile a lot so that people know I'm friendly and can be trusted.  I might be a psycho.

I'll admit that I do this weird half-wave thing (even for zoom calls that are serious business). :bag:

Having one's camera on crushes bandwith. If I'm in a meeting with dozen plus others I'll turn my camera off for this reason.*

*Assuming I'm not a prominent speaker.
