I know Charles was said to be the "center piece" of the offense by KC coaches...might have to dig around to find it. If Charles is going to get 20 touches a game you have to start moving him up. he's been unreal value in the 3rd round in many off season drafts to this point, my guess is he starts creeping up to early 2nd by the time a lot of drafts are set in August. Greene is mighty risky in PPR leagues IMHO. Not saying he cannot produce but i like many other backs around him so i usually never feel like I am missing out on him.

Jamaal Charles-RB- ChiefsJul. 18 - 10:42 am et

Jamaal Charles is expected to be the centerpiece of the Chiefs' offense, according to beat writer Kent Babb.

Charles is the best player on the Chiefs' offense, so getting him the ball on the ground and through the air will be a priority. Veteran Thomas Jones was brought in to complement Charles -- not step on his toes. Charles' offseason shoulder surgery does not appear to be a concern with training camp on the horizon.Source: Kansas City Star

Guess it was just a beat writer...

you sure you're not looking at PPR vs non?
These are the non-ppr rankings. Although I now wonder if Dodds mislabeled them, as the ppr rankings have Greene-rb14, Charles-rb15. That must be it.

charles deserves top 10 accreditation.... the guy is a speed demon. proven talent in college, proven now in the NFL....

KC is finally coming to their senses is my guess... TJ is a perfect complimentary runner, 3rd downs, grind yardage, sure...

the jets didnt cut him loose cuz they flt he was on the verge of exploding.... he faded at the end of the season and is OLD by RB standards...

anything less than 250 touches for charles is blasphemy

aside: jamarcus russel could rush for 1000+ behind the jets o-line... Jones ain't in kansas anymore!!! (even tho he actually is now lol)

LOL.. Reggie Bush over Shonn Greene
It seems like Greene may be sliding but I'm not sure why.
I think it may because LT is a man on a mission this year to prove to all the people that say he is done wrong. He seems pissed. We all agree that in his prime he was a stud. Sure, he had a rough year last year, but was that due to his o-line situation and injuries or his inability to light up fantasy box scores any longer? Now he is motivated to prove everyone wrong about him, AND put him behind one of the best O-lines in the league...uh-oh! I'm not willing to count him down and out just yet. Just maybe Greene won't be runaway train everyone is predicting...not this year perhaps.

I found myself rather confused recently on Charles. I'm in the 4th round of a startup 16 team PPR league and I was able to get Jamaal with the 2.12 pick! He was a top 50 scorer last year and that's with not being handed the regins until about the middle of the seaon! I drafted him even though I had MJD in the 1st round...but it seemed like insane value to me. Especially when I've seen him go in the first round in numerous drafts. The best WR available at that 2.12 spot was Ochostinko. And in this league, WR's get 1 pt per recep and RB's get 1.5.

Prediction - LT blows, his legs are SHOT. It happens, dude was a total uber fantasy stud. Shaun Alexander comes to mind. The legs fell off LT and he just simply doesn't have it, I don't care if he's pissed, on a mission, yada yada yada, the dude is done, he doesn't have what it takes. The prediction is he is hardly involved after midseason once Rex Ryan realizes that his ypc is 2 yards less than Greene, he's not going to play a guy who stinks the joint up. The days of LT having any relevance are over. He is now a full year older and a full year weaker.
