You set up your scoring? If you could send me a link to your site so i can look at your scoring, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Punters?? Really?? It's bad enough we have kickers in fantasy football. Give some love to the O line and start tracking pancakes and sacks allowed.

I actually tried using offensive lines in one of my leagues once. It was in 1997 before there was really much computerized support for fantasy, so I had to track it all by box scores and hand. It sucked so I didn't do it again. But the idea still interests me. Punters, not so much.

Paging Mike Herman...

I rememeber a number of years ago a magazine contest (I think) that did in fact use punters. Basically what ya got to deal with is a limited number of stats:

Touchbacks

Total Punting Yardage

Gross Average Punting

Net Average Punting

I actually used an article about a team's holder competition as one of my "fake news" entries for last year's ultimate survivor contest (it didn't get me the spot, instead my fake news item on PULs * did).

Btw, Kevin Huber is a super sleeper as the new Bengals punter this year.

I'm sure ONE of the services out there (at least) has some sort of provision for punters for the hardcore fan. Found this article that had Fantasy Punter rankings for 2008: Here it is. and oh wait - from the same source - here are some 2009 Rankings: Yessir!

Total puntsPunts inside the 20. :excited: Look for crap offenses and conservative head coaches. Not a big fan of average or net but total yards (in place of total punts) does make a lot of sense. Takes into account punt opportunities along with performance. Add scoring for punts inside the 20 and you're set.

This is how punters are scored in Zealots Phalanx:

1. Punt yards = .03 pts for every 1 yard

2. Punts inside the 20 = 2 pts each

3. Punts had blocked = -2 pts each

4. Fair catch = 1pt each *pending availability as a stat category in MFL
