Any Jets homers out there have any idea how the Jets plan of using Mason or if he has any value at all? At the moment he is the #3, but may have some value in the fairly likely event of Plax getting injured or not being himself after a long absence.

Rex said he would catch 90 balls. No way that happens. But he, Plaxico, Holmes, and Keller will get all the catches for the Jets. Holmes will get his every week. Plax will be used mostly in the red-zone. Who gets the underneath passes will change between Mason and Keller, making both kind of low ceiling guys. If/when Plaxico gets hurt, Mason gets a lot more value as the Jets depth receivers are unproven. He's a risky start. I could see 4/40 from him week 1, but I don't think he has much upside.
