There have been "rumors" about Cowher coming to take over since he moved to Raleigh. Even if Fox was fired and Cowher did have interest, it's not certain that Jerry Richardson would be willing to pay him what he wants. If Fox is playing Delhomme out of loyalty, people seem quick to forget that Cowher did the exact same thing with Kordell Stewart. Fox is not a bad coach at all. If he gets fired he will be quickly retained. As for running on third and long, the Panthers are notorious for doing that whether Delhomme is having a good year or a bad year. Delhommes turnovers have been much better recently, even though he lost one fumble in the Saints game. The opposing team's QB had two turnovers. Stewart's and William's fumbles were much more costly in the game than Delhommes. I do agree that more than likely, the Panthers aren't going to make the playoffs. I also think the Panthers are not as bad as their record shows, but in the season the record is what matters.pantherclub said:With all due respect you are just 100% wrong on that. Even if we pretend that Fox comes back (i would put that at around 20% right now) there is no way in hades that Jake is the guy. Just no way. There are too many other better options out there right now. Give them all of off season and preseason to learn the offense and there is your new qb. Assuming that Cowher comes in, which is the extreme hot rumor now out of Raleigh, then I see Jake at best as the 3rd qb on the roster. His T.O's have not really dried up (1 fumble last game) its just that Fox refuses to put him in a situation where he has to make a throw that he simply cannot make, which leads us to running on 3rd and long. By doing this it condenses the playbook dramatically and makes us one dimensional . It is simply time to put in Moore and evaluate for next year. There is no way we make playoffs this year.
