Does the NFL postpone the Eagles game to help Vick out? (1 Viewer)

Probably helps the WRs more than anyone. I benched DeSean at the last second for Austin. Now have to decide between DeSean and VJax.

EDIT: Oh, and helping the WRs long game helps Vick, obviously.

Why does this thread even exist???

Hmmm, will a QB play better in a blizzard or better in not a blizzard?

Tough one

What is todays NFL coming to, cancelling a game b/c of snow?? What a bunch of sissys!

Before you know it they'll be playing all their games indoors so no one gets hurt or sick due to the weather. What a joke!

they postponed it, because there is a state of emergency, and fans can not show up to the game. they are not going to play a sold out game in an empty stadium.

Your wrong. It's not a state of emergency. It's a snow emergency. State of emergency= you are legally not allowed on the roads. A snow emergency states you cannot park on most city streets due to slow removal and it encourages people to not drive and use public transportation. Two very different definitions.Eagles fans would show up during a nuclear strike.

:lmao: plus, it is an "emergency" only because the attention-whore mayor said it was..

yes your right. it could easily be upgraded to a state of emergency later on though. they are saying it could be 20 inches.

I live just outside of Philadelphia. They arent doing this to help Vick or the Eagles. We don't get a lot of snow usually, and the area isn't really capable of functioning the same day as getting a foot of snow. Things are usually shut down for a day or two as we just dont have the resources like other areas who are used to snow.

HUH? that ius such BS... we are in PA for christ sakes.. I live in the Philly burbs, and we have functioned quite well, unless we get 2 feet or so.. this storm will bring maybe a foot if we are lucky - moving too fast..

I'd say it has a lot to do with the cleanup. How are a bunch of cars supposed to get to a game in a foot of snow and how is PennDOT supposed to clean up roads with a whole bunch of cars stuck? I can just imagine Broad Street shut down during a work week because people's cars are stuck.

Let's spend a day recovering and taking care of the weather. It's only a football game. Had the game been a one o clock it'd have happened.

It is convenient for Brett Favre though. Mother Nature is giving him a farewell tour.

well i just heard the storm was downgraded lol now they are saying only 8 inches in philadelphia. not the 10-20 they had been talking about.

yup- I heard 10-14, still a lot less than 2+feet the f'n mayor was barking when he declared his little snow emergency :loco:

Hey it still looks light out! The sun sets at five. Even if it doesn't look bad there are SIX HOURS until the game should have occurred. And since when did anybody trust the weatherman? Especially one in a bowtie
