Dolphins vs Patriots - Week 1 (1 Viewer)

It's very clear to me this offense has been tailored to Cam's strengths (which speaks to good coaching I think). This is different than anything I've seen.

They are either pumping in crowd noise in the stadium or on the broadcast (or both).

A healthy Cam will vulture a lot of TD from the running backs.
I think he was joking but teams are allowed to pump 70 dcb of crowd noise from games collected over the last 3 years during covid (fan free) games. The colts can finally get away with it legally.

140 decibels is a typical crowd noise level.

Howard does not look good.

I'd agree with the OL not good or Pats D getting credit.

Gaskin? Gaskins? (where is Breida) has brings some life to the offense with those screens and Howard just derails it

the smaller backs look better but they gotta have more toughness on the inside runs- shoulders or idk....they went down due to a reach by a DL the last two runs. The OL makes the hole and the linemen are standing up their defender. That's gotta be enough.

The Pats seem to be all over the DL when Howard's in and have the LBs back a bit when the smaller backs are in. Maybe they need to throw a pass or two to Howard?

This seems like simple issues that should have been worked out in camp

Gaskins with a nice run, breaking a tackle and using speed to get to the edge. He looks good. The verdict on Howard remains to be seen... it's early.

Miami offense is being hampered by an OL that cannot run block for much. Fitz isn't going to have a lot of time to launch long passes down the field so I would expect Parker and eventually Gesicki the TE to have most of the targets in the 5-10 yd range.

Run Blocking non existent right now.

Gut wrenching opening drive if you are a MIami fan. On a day where offense is at a premium, you would liek to see them hold the Patriots out of the end zone.

Romo just cannot praise them enough right now. Not picking on him, he's great.

2nd Rush TD for Cam, agree with some others that if you took him as your deep bench QB2 stash, you might have something. They seem NO PROBLEM letting Cam run the TD in, Pats have nothing invested really into Cam, if he worked out for a year or two all the better as far as they care.

Great job by New England

Cam can blow it up this year and maybe go out and sign a $50M/$75M deal pretty fast after the season if he stays healthy...I just overlooked him every time in the draft.

Sour Grapes setting in quick 😆

I mean if he wasn't healthy ok, I get it. And I understand it's Miami they're facing (not a good defensive team)... but did people really think Cam wasn't going to be at least a Top 20 QB? Did he knees suddenly turn to dust? Was his shoulder being held up by matchsticks, duct tape, and hopes and prayers and I missed it?

I mean geez...

Miami offense is being hampered by being out coached. And Newton fits Belichick’s chokes em slowly philosophy. And Gaskin, why?
The NE defense is very good. Great use of Cam's skills. Gaskin has looked very good - he's a 3 down back, but I'm surprised Breida hasn't played more.

I do not know how much more I can take of Fitzpatrick.

Those two picks were brutal. And again threw another pass that could have been picked on our first drive out of the tunnel.

Just brutal.

Cam comes right back on the field after a Miami 3 and out...Fitz is going to make this easier to insert Tua but I really think that would be a HUGE mistake.

I'm gonna come right out and announce that Miami needs to be added to the quick list of teams who might be looking at TLaw, I don't care if they do have Tua, they might need both of them to really get this franchise turned around, man do we stink.

So you're going to advocate putting Tua who is coming off a horrific hip injury I might add, you're ready to put that kid in there as a rookie with a bum hip?

I'm asking here, I see what you're seeing too. He is the listed QB2 on this roster is he not?

Cam was clearly out on his second TDS.. No review at all.. WTF?
Pretty sure all scoring plays are reviewed. Don't know why it wasn't reversed. Probably gonna score with 1st down on the 6" line anyway but they should still have reversed it.

I think they looked at it and did not have a definitive look. The ref blocks the view on one angle. On another look, Cam’s foot steps out and it’s hard to tell where the tip of the ball is. I don’t think he got in, but they probably thought it was hard to nail it down where the ball was. I would have spotted the ball at the 6 inch line, but no one asked me.
