My children have pulled me in to this inane debate so I spent 2 minutes thinking about it.

There has to be more doors than wheels, right?  A lot of things I can think of that have wheels also have doors.  My car - 4 wheels, 4 doors.  My house on the other hand - like 100 doors (kitchen cabinet doors, room doors, dishwasher door).

What am I missing here?  Are people counting things like gears as wheels?

I need somebody to give me a list of what counts and doesn't count but until then - #TEAMDOORS

/Wheelhouse

My dishwasher has one door and about 40 little wheels.

yeah #teamdoors VS #teamwheels is a thing right now

my 8th grader (& a majority of her friends) think there are more wheels

all over Tik Tok & Twitter this weekend

Some doors have wheels. Do gates counts as doors?

Edit- does a toilet seat count as a door?

Doors seems obvious at first. But then thinking there are a lot of bikes in the world too. But then think about a huge building like the Pentagon. Doors for days.

Wheels or gears?  I’m open to hearing the argument from the wheels people - like this.

The bottom rack slides in and out on wheels and the top rack has slides on the sides - like on a drawer - with wheels.  Now that I've had a look, its less than 40, maybe 20 wheels or so.

Yeah, definitions are going to matter a lot here.  Do toys count (because we've got like 1,000 Hot Wheels wheels alone)?  Do toy doors count (see Hot Wheels!)?  Do doorways without an actual door?  etc.

I'm thinking wheels.  Casters on all those office chairs.

I repeated this to the kids (13 and 23):

"Yep - and most of them are opened by turning a wheel. But most of the #teamdoors trolls call those a doorknob. Look it up - you literally turn a wheel on an axle to open a door."

couple weekends ago I installed a opener on my future MIL's garage. one door, tons of wheels.

I'm starting to weaken...

And behind every door are multiple office chairs with 5 wheels each.

Didnt scroll far enough, D-Day already said that.

Opened this thread while in my son’s room where he must have over 50 hot wheels, toy fire trucks, etc. all lined up next to each other. If you count toys, I’m going wheels.

There is some discussion about a hinge being a wheel also.  That would change things quite a bit.

Looking at my kitchen and seeing all the cabinet doors, but all the drawers have 4 wheels.  And the hinge thing.

ETA:  What about ball bearings?  :oldunsure:

If you are counting a door as something that is connected to a hinge, many caskets have 1-2 doors.

And Legos.  Legos is the world's largest producer of tires.
