It wasn't kicking an extra point. They have a KICKER on the roster to do that.
:sadbanana:
It would be like Tiger Woods playing a round of golf from the opposite side to show you he could still kick your butt. It's not just him playing golf.
again, what you say makes no sense. Its not just him playing golf? Im left handed when i play golf, so if i play right handed for a round, i am no longer "playing golf"? Flutie kicked a drop kick in good fun and in good nature. Were any jacksonville players (i think he was against the jags in that game) offended by what he did? I doubt it. A more likely scenario is that the jacksonville players were happy that they were able to see the dropkick first hand.

You just illustrated the difference. If it's not a play you'd consider using except in a blowout and if it's a play called to score points, it's classless to call the play. I don't know whether or not LT2 has thrown an option pass in blowouts or not, but I know LT2's passes and option passes in general are not used only in blowouts. They're a fairly common tactic that gets used every single year.
hate will destroy you.
Perhaps.BB's ego will suffocate everyone in New England far sooner than that, though. Good luck.
If he suffocates the team now I'm sure no one will complain as he's already brought 3 Lombardis to Foxboro :goodposting:Yet for some reason I doubt his ego will do that at this point.

The drop kick was just another example of classless play on a team led by BB. Before Pats fans jump on me too much, I'll stipulate that no rule in the NFL says you have to do classy things. This is an issue separate and apart from breaking NFL rules. It's just not classy to have your backup QB drop kick an EP when nothing is wrong with your kicker in a blowout, just like it isn't classy to take a 70-0 game to 77-0.
 You know, these kinds of posts are getting more and more common, and it's starting to scare me. To consider another team 'classless' for scoring points is the antithesis of what sports is. If you can't handle it when a team scores a lot of points, or if don't want them to try unusual plays, then you need to stop watching sports. God forbid, you wouldn't want to see the losing team get their feelings hurt.

actually, the funniest thing about it is that the guy's #####ing about an extra point.

let's face reality -- that is simply pure predisposed pats hate.

there are some people that simply can't stand to see others have success.

fyi -- petty jealousy is not 'classy'.

In this case, it's not the scoring of points that is classless. It's the manner of doing it we're talking about. In fact, it's a matter of the Patriots in that game being willing to take a chance on a kick that carried with it a significantly lower chance of success because they were actually trying to tank the game to get the Jaguars in the playoffs instead of the Broncos. I really don't care whether the players got their feelings hurt or not. They're professionals and can cope. This is about setting a standard for what class play is and recognizing when a team departs from it. I think it's clear BB's team does it quite a bit, but they're not alone in doing it.
