brohans this is not a donut clash this is really the apple fritter mudstomping the craptacular long john into a gooey crap pile of garbage because that is what a long john is its a gooey crap pile of garbage that should probably just be flushed down a toilet except odds are it would clog up the toilet because a long john cant even do that right so basically what i am saying is i probably perfer apple fritters take that to the bank joe bromagio

OH HELL NO.

also, Long John is a general term for bar-shaped donuts that have icing - usually chocolate (maple yes ...but less so)

AND usually have filling (doesn't have to ...but most do)

- usually its sweet white cream or bavarian cream ...but have also had a sweet peanut butter flavored blend filling)

a maple bar is one kind of Long John 

No.  No.  No.

They do NOT usually have filling.  And vanilla long johns are just as common as chocolate.

Aren't apple fritters called Bear Claws by some people?  I didn't even know what a long john was, but I recognize it as the one at DD nobody gets.   That may have been one of the donuts they stopped selling.
