He is in machine-like mode tonight, just hitting absolutely everything he puts up. Congrats Lakers fans, helluva accomplishment.Kobe just passed Shaq on the All Time scoring list against PHI. He is on fire right now.

I have to admit, this is a just criticism. The Lakers were having great success with Bynum and Gasol. I know. I just hate to admit it, because I love the guy. And I still don't want him to retire. But I want him play limited minutes off the bench, maybe 10 a game. Behind an NBA caliber starting point guard. I don't think that's Blake, either. The problem is defense. Particularly the old PG who you don't want to retire.I have to admit, this is a just criticism. It's the thread where BRONG Gobbler show us their disturbing bromance. Is this the thread where we come in and say how great the Clippers are playing right now?The Clippers are playing awesome basketball right now!
No, this is the thread where we answer someone's statement that the Lakers are clearly the team to beat in the west. Oh, and we attempt to come to terms with the state of the Lakers. Try to keep up.Is this the thread where we come in and say how great the Clippers are playing right now?

Do YOU know what sacrilege is? Rip the Lakers all you want. Make fun of me all you want. But don't you dare reference Chick or his quotes and at the same time root against the Lakers. Some things are not acceptable.Drummer, do you even know who Chick Hearn is?

Shocked at that. Really liked his back to the basket game, thought he had a future. It's terrible because if he wasn't injured in preseason he would still probably be on the team.He could be a steal for someone down the road. Maybe Denver.Character waived. LA avoiding the guarantee of his contract, or is there a FA signing to come? Arenas?![]()
Then I gotta assume a signing or trade or both is pretty imminent. As much as I don't really enjoy the guy...they could really use a JR Smith off the bench. They need some offensive punch and speed off that bench in a desperate way.Character waived. LA avoiding the guarantee of his contract, or is there a FA signing to come? Arenas?![]()

Who would make shots besides Kobe?ETA: Saw the report on Hoopsworld. Interesting. I'm not a Rondo fan but there is little doubt he would be the "speed" LA covets. No to him Arenas, and Dwight.Would love a Pau for Rondo deal. Then I gotta assume a signing or trade or both is pretty imminent. It's hard to blame Mitch since the league completely screwed him on the CP3 trade, but this team is just too slow to compete for a title right now barring a remarkable run. Paul would have fixed that, but oh well.Dealing Bynum for Howard would help, as would bringing in a younger PG (Sessions?).Then I gotta assume a signing or trade or both is pretty imminent. Shhhhh. Everyone is watching their Lakers lose right now. Don't disturb them. The thing I cant figure out is why the Lakers have a thread in the FFA. The Bulls are the team to beat this year. Right now we are resting Rose for the playoffs. I mean seriously, this is the team that Michelle Jordan built. How can this team not be the team to beat.
