Point out where I lied in the post. It was a straight cut and past from the play-by-play.Makes sense. At least put a little effort into it next time, the final score was 95-90. When lying about the play by play, just put a little more effort and edit the score too.Nope. Just edited out the non-Kobe plays.HTHAre we just making up play by play summaries now?The problem is defense. Particularly the old PG who you don't want to retire.I have to admit, this is a just criticism. The Lakers were having great success with Bynum and Gasol. But in the last few minutes with Williams red hot, Kobe tried to match him, and he really did hog the ball down the stretch. And yes, he does that too much.So awesome, seriously, OMG!!!!! He went 1 for 9 in the fourth, hogging the ball down the stretch, and they lose, AGAIN, but who cares!!!!!!!!!!!! GO KOBE!!!!The 5th most points in NBA History

My linkI didn't get to see the game last night, but I read something like Bynum had a dunk off a lob with about 4:30 left in the game to put the Lakers up 6 and then didn't touch the ball on offense the rest of the game? Is that right?
Every one of those plays happened. The clock is off by a few seconds and the running score is off for some reason. That is what I get for pulling it from sportsline. My linkThat wasn't the play by play of the 76ers game, none of those plays happened.Point out where I lied in the post. Transition from the triangle to another offense. Hopefully by the deadline.Don't feed the trolls JMon.On another note, Jeremy Lin, street free agent PG just lit up the Lakers. What's the over/under on how much longer can Laker management ignore the PG spot? 2 years?
It's just pathetic. I didn't think it'd be possible, but Aaron Brooks is probably a significant upgrade at this point - guys in L.A. radio have just started talking about him. Would you rather have him as a F.A. (assuming he'd sign for the peanuts which the Lakers can offer) or spend more resources to get a guy like Sessions? Not making some kind of move to shore up the PG spot would tell me the Lakers aren't serious about winning this year.Transition from the triangle to another offense. All of those plays happened in the PHI game. Not sure why jmon thinks he is lying about it.He's the Jim11 of basketball, the truth has no place in his assessment of the NBA.Don't feed the trolls JMon.All of those plays happened in the PHI game. Not sure why jmon thinks he is lying about it.

Agree completely. Wish I knew what the Cavs wanted for Sessions. I've always been impressed with his game. I can't imagine Fish would put up a stink. He's such a smart guy that he has to be aware that he's probably the worst starting G in pro hoops. It's just pathetic. This is why I razz you. Lakers had a monster lead and blew it, to freaking Toronto. They got lucky at the end with the inbounds violation. Oh and what about Kobe missing a free throw at the end that allowed Toronto life?KOBE!!!!!!!Unbelievable last 2 minutes!!!

He's an RFA, surely the Suns would match a low offer. Sessions would be a poor fit because he can't shoot or play off ball effectively. It's just pathetic. I'd like to think he'd be something more than a statue on D, which would make him a great fit all by itself. Anything he could do on offense would be gravy.'Kev4029 said:Sessions would be a poor fit because he can't shoot or play off ball effectively.
I gotta think this guy is toast at this point. With all the 5th and 6th chances most players get to prove themselves, somebody surely would have taken a chance on him by now. No?I guess the Lakers worked out Gilbert Arenas over the weekend.![]()

Probably. But to put things in perspective, the only guy they have off the bench who's a threat to score off anything but a put back is Goudelock at this point. And they're still starting Fisher. I.e. beggars can't be choosers.I gotta think this guy is toast at this point. Saw that. The fact that his knee was scoped again recently kills any enthusiasm I had for signing him. I wouldn't necessarily be against bringing him in, but I'm not optimistic he would make a difference.I guess the Lakers worked out Gilbert Arenas over the weekend.![]()
Where is Smush when we need him? What kind of shape is Sedale Threatt in?Probably. Shut up. Kobe moved up a notch on the all-time scorer's list this season. This team is awful.

SERIOUS BUSINESSDo YOU know what sacrilege is? Rip the Lakers all you want. Make fun of me all you want. But don't you dare reference Chick or his quotes and at the same time root against the Lakers. Some things are not acceptable.Drummer, do you even know who Chick Hearn is?
Unless he is starting, no, but hes probably only getting a one year deal this year and it'll only be for about 30 games at most. The difference between a minimum contract for one year (lets just assume $1m) and a $5m contract is about $1.5m for this year and the difference between a minimum and the $2.5m contract that NY is talking about is $0.5m. If he were to go to a team like the Lakers or Clips and play well through the playoffs and behaves himself he is probably looking at a $30-35m contract over 4 years in the offseason. The difference in his contract this year is peanuts compared to what he could make next year.Lakers met with J.R. Smith yesterday. Would he really play for peanuts?
If you're wondering how the Lakers are 17-12 despite having three of the best players in the league, here's your answer. The chart shows that the Lakers lead the league in BAD, with only four players having a PER above 12. Metta World Peace leads the way with 3,553 BAD points (fifth league-wide), but the point guards and frontcourt reserves are also major contributors. In their infinite wisdom, the league's coaches decided to punish Pau Gasol for this by keeping him off the Western Conference All-Star team.Orlando ranks second, with horrid point guard play the main reason, although the Magic have at least begun to remedy a bit of the problem: Larry Hughes, with a horrid minus-4.84 PER in 114 minutes, was one of the worst offenders but has been waived.Unfortunately for Dwight Howard, the grass on the other side of the fence may not be greener: New Jersey is right behind the Magic in this category, with its phenomenally bad small forward play the main culprit. The Nets' BAD from small forwards is worse than that of 18 other entire teams. In each case, this represents an opportunity too. If L.A. or Orlando could just acquire a league-average point guard at the trade deadline (coughRamonSessionscough), it might improve their chances considerably.
"There's talks and rumors every day. Today I was reading it was Minnesota is really interested in trying to put a good package together," he said. "[Other teams are] calling, and it seems like things are just waiting for the right offer to come along, for [the Lakers] to pull the trigger."
. It sucks that they can't get one of these street free agents on board. All the while McRoberts and his midlevel exception contribute nothing recently. It also sucks that Metta's contract got Ebanks sent to the D league. I'd rather see Ebanks getting the minutes Metta is wasting. They should have amnestied his ### back in December.oof.As I noted in an earlier column on my "BAD" rating, the Lakers get more minutes from awful players than any other team in the league. Metta World Peace has a PER of 6.26 and Derek Fisher has one of 8.33; both of them start. Players like this usually don't play at all, but for L.A. they're out there all the time -- only five players in the entire league have played at least 700 minutes with a PER below nine, and the Lakers employ two of them.
You're the moron. In case you didn't know, he just moved into 5th in all-time points. Why is Kobe holding the ball for 22 seconds? Bynum doesn't even touch the ball in the post. Morons.
