Draft Chat With our Draftniks Matt Waldman and Sigmund Bloom Tonight D (1 Viewer)

Not a fan of Titus at all, but I see what the Lions are thinking here. Bring him in slowly as a stretch the field slot guy and then transition from Burleson to him in time if he develops some physical edge and consistency.
Why are you down on Titus? I may not have seen as much of him as you (very probable) but I thought he was pretty athletic and had good hands. Nice opportunity here to become a very viable NFL WR2.
Inconsistent hands/ball skills and gets pushed around way too easy by physical corners
OK - can he be a slot / WR3 then? Detroit certainly lacks there as well. Moving to the slot could help with the press coverage, although I'm sure teams will scout him and jam him if he isn't in motion. If that's his game, then that does limit his viability and makes him a reach here in Round 2.
Heard on local radio today, Ochocinco has been catching balls with Calvin Johnson and Matt Stafford this week.

The hands comment has me reconsidering his value.
Honestly it will take quite a while to sort through the values for the rookies.Fantasy emphasizes RBs for the most part, and many will be sliding well into Day 3 picks.
Sure, I just liked the idea of a quick slot guy combined with cj.

Titans DC Jerry Gray saying Akeem Ayers will play SLB and rush from a three point stance in some packages. Another Von Miller, Aaron Curry in the making. May mean that Tulloch is on his way out, with Curran inside and McRath moving over to WLB.

Was hoping to steal Kendricks late in some rookie drafts. The hype will be in full force now. :kicksrock:
McDaniels neglects the TE. No thanks. Looking forward to seeing him go off the board ahead of me in rookie drafts.ETA: Also a pretty average athlete, at the very best, this year's Moeaki. At least one of Williams, Housler, Green, Thomas will have more upside, if not all of them

not a big fan of this pick by the Lions. Awfully smallish by NFL standards
he's got quicks. Just realized, he's exactly what I weighed in at the other day. Pretty sure I'd get killed by an NFL DB.
I agree he is quick. But for every Steve Smith (Car), I think there are countless small guys that bust in the league. Usually these small guys have trouble even getting off clean from the line of scrimmage.
I was thinking more along the lines of DeSean Jackson but you're right that these are the exceptions.
Titus Young IMHO, could be a good slot WR or WR2...he's not a WR#1 and never will be IMHO.
 he won't have to be.
So as an NFL GM you're looking draft a slot WR in the early 2nd.
Would you take welker in the 2nd

Kendricks will catch 70 balls his rookie season barring injury.

Write it down.

The Shark Pool has been informed.

It's a boom-bust pick in my opinion. They already have a game breaker. I would have liked to have seen them await a couple more rounds and go after more of a possession guy. The Williams pick is a good one to light a fire under Wells or end up with a Carolina-esque committee. Not loving the fantasy implications immediately, but it will sort itself out. Dalton to Bengals. I can see it. I keep hearing, "he doesn't drive the deep ball," but what he does do is throw with anticipation deep and I think he can develop. Kaepernick to 49ers. Surprised here. More on this coming. Kendricks to St. Louis is a strong pick because he can block and he'll be reliable option for Bradford. He isn't dynamic, but he will be better than we think with Bradford there. Love Rudolph with Vikings, another sound pick who can do it all and help the run game in two-TE sets right away.

I love the pick for the Titans. Our linebackers needed an infusion of speed and athleticism.

Both Kendricks and Rudolph will be better NFL players than fantasy - at the very very best you're looking at Heath Miller, which is a borderline backup fantasy QB with the recent influx of receiving talent at the position.

Oakland with a Center as their first draft pick. Somebody check Al Davis' pulse. Big need for them though...
He can play all 3 interior spots on the OL so this makes him very versatile and with Gallery heading out the door, you never know he could be given a try at guard.

Ijalana could be a very very good OT and he's a good fit for Indy who wants to keep a nice pocket for Peyton vs. 3-4s. Costanzo can play just about anywhere on the line. Peyton has to love this.

I feel like Kendricks might have more upside than Heath Miller, though I'm not thrilled about the McDaniels connection.

I like the Heath Miller comparison, but the Rams will be throwing siginficantly more than the Steelers.Would not be surprised if Kendricks demolishes the "expert" projections.

Lockout back on?? That stinks of the NFL pulling something off so there "wasnt" a lockout last night during the 1st round of the draft

They have been avoiding drafting OL for a long time. I agree that Manning has to be elated.

Well after everyone freaked out about ATL getting Jones and NO getting Jordan and Ingram, TB has landed their blow with Clayborn and Bowers.

Bowers was a top 5 talent in this draft no question. Get the knee cleaned up, chalk up this year, and have a ridiculous set of young ends in 2012. I like the bold thinking.
