It sounds to me like Murray is going to get every opportunity to start

umm wow. once again the second half of the first round gets murkier. Sorry Felix and Choice owners.

What else would the Cowboys say or infer? I see no way Murray starts, unless Felix gets hurt. That said, I think this may ensure that Felix doesn't get more than 200-225 carries.

My first inclination is that Murray is a huge boom/bust pick. If he wins out and becomes the starter for the Cowboys? That would be great. But I'm not a huge fan of his talent and I doubt he substantially beats out Felix and Choice, but instead keeps that RBBC as confusing as ever.

Surprised the Falcons took Akeem Dent from Georgia. Jene, any thoughts? I'm just thinking they must be relying on tape from a couple of years ago if they think he's an every down guy. Falcons usually don't take UGA kids - common complaint among homers in state.
Little surprised, too. Mostly because I'm still waiting for Greg Jones to go.I think Lofton projects better between the tackles, with underrated range. Would doubt Dent is better in coverage, too. Mike Smith's defense is kind of an interchangeable OLB scheme and I think Dent probably slots as a base defensive LOLB there.

Yeah I like Murray. And I like him even more on Dallas. Having said that I've never been a Felix fan. I think Murray should definitely be in the top ten

Im thinkingIngram-Green-Jones-Williams-LeShoure-Thomas-Cobb-Little-VBrown-Newton as a top 10 right now.
Bloom don't you think Little has more opportunity and less competition than Cobb? Just figured you'd flip those 2.
Id agree with both of those, but Cobb has Rodgers and Little has McCoy. I won't argue with anyone taking Little ahead of Cobb though and with time to think on it, I could end up putting Little #7, or even #6.
I have the 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.11 picks in one of my PPR dynasty leagues. Coming out with Jones, Williams, LeShoure, Thomas, Cobb, and Little/V.Brown/Hunter sounds like a dream draft.

Green Bay loading up on offense......

Green could be huge on GB as he can catch the ball out of the backfield and I'm not sure that Starks can do that. Nice fit.

It's Curtis Brown for the Steelers - Many speculated that they were sweating as much as or more than Williams when the whole Steelers crew came to UT pro day

Starks can catch - he just can't pick up the blitz.Green is the Brandon Jackson replacement - 3rd down, great hands, decent blocker

James Starks express hits a major speed bump... You get the feeling Pack are just going to take a RB every year until they get it right

Love the Jets grabbing two huge D-linemen.

Obviously neither one is a sure thing, but it was the right position to address (unless a potential impact 3-4 OLB was on the board)

Was feeling Brown the entire round. They had him in for a visit and he graded out as a late 2 by most services. Not too bad for "waiting" on CB.

Sigmund and Waldman, where does Murray fall in relation to your previously posted top 10? Thanks guys
Murray is my 4th rated back in the RSP. He doesn't move much from my rankings. I'll have to formulate my rankings after draft but based on initial impressions: Ingram-Green-Jones-Williams-Vereen or Murray in my first five. Little, Leshoure, Brown, Cobb rounding it out in some order.

Eh, Bennett-Levens-Green-Grant...they like to overlap and have depth. Green has style that has shades of Jamal Anderson, but I think this spells the end for Jackson and Nance. Depth chart this year: Grant 1A to begin the preseason but gone by 2012. Starks 1B to begin preseason and the 1 by 2012 with Green as No.2 if he shows he can beat the other two.

What he said.

I am also glad teams didn't reach for Kendall Hunter. I know folks like him, but I think Hunter, Rodgers, and Lewis are talents who could become starters in the right system, but not immediate fits with most teams. I bet they get taken over Bilal Powell, Delone Carter, and a few others (Chad Spann...Chad Spann) which I think is a mistake.

Patriots just stole Oakland's 2nd rounder in 2012.
Please.Belichick has officially jumped the shark. What TALENT has he actually gotten in this draft? He basically traded it all away for future picks. Is wussing out of drafting for future picks going to make a team better?I'm astonded at how everyone is falling over Bill when he did NOTHING in this draft.Absolutely NOTHING.
They got a solid tackle, a solid cornerback, a decent RB who many on here really like...and then a couple head scratchers.
I went to CU and want Solder to do well but he's not the second best tackle of this draft. Then he had Mikel Leshoure in his hands and dropped the ball. Ras I?I'm shocked that everyone is falling over themselves, its amazing.
We are midway through the third round and BB has taken 5 players and racked up a 1st and a 2nd next year.Pretty good if you ask me. I'm not going to act like I know how each player will turn out, but they filled a need with OT and CB, it looks like they are revamping their running backs, and they took a gamble on Mallett. If they fix Mallett's "head issues", he has the talent to get them one or two first rounders in the future.
The more i think about it, the more i like the Mallet pick.Salary will be lowexpectations will be lowAll he has to do is come in showcase some good skills, and QB hungry teams will be suddenly interested.
We're talking about a guy with first round talent and a ten cent head. All BB has to do is have Mallett show big things in the pre-season and NOT become a coke-head, and Mallett will bring a big ROI to the Patriots. Smart pick.
Mallett + Pats brainwashing + decent preseason = trade Eminem for a 1st round pick next year when a team panics at the trade deadline.

So out of all the TE's drafted so far, which is the best one (Fantasy draft/purposes)? does it remain Rudolph? or one of the other ones?

Who the hell is Chris Conte?
College corner who transitioned to safety this year. Angelo likes him as a FS, said they are very tough to find. Makes sense since he drafts one every year and hasn't found one he likes yet. Would guess that means Major Wright fits at SS, with Chris Harris in the mix too.

Jets draft pick Kenrick Ellis will go to trial in July for a felonious assault charge.

Some guy came after him over a girl and apparently attacked him with a baseball bat. Ellis broke his nose and jaw.

He's facing a max of 20 years if convicted.

Hard to say IMO. I think Kendrick has a better immediate situation in terms of competition, but not sure TE is a big receiving option in McDaniels' system. Rudolph probably the best player, but Housler with Cards could be nice down the line. I still think the best receiving TEs might still be available and have a chance to outperform the ones drafted. I wouldn't jump the gun.

Love reading "projected never to become a starter" in the profile overview. http://www.nfl-site.qwapi.com/siteserver/site?t=4DnkfLZHar7Yr7XScphlHQ&sid=nfl_draftsOther than that I think the bears have had a great draft. Got a top 20 prospect at pick 30 and then grabbed a first-round projected dt.
Very happy with the first two. JA isn't the type of GM than can make many good picks in a row, though. He's not that bright.

Everyone's talking about flipping Mallett for a pick. Brady's 34 before the season starts - I say feature Hoyer in the preseason and try to get a pick for him. If Mallett can stay out of trouble, the timing seems reasonable for a successor to Brady. This seems like a Rodgers/Kolb/Pennington setup to me.

I think they keep Mallett. Very, very good pick.

Still have to see where Virgil Green and DJ Williams land. If either goes to Atlanta I like them long term quite a bit. Miami would also be good. Stocker's still out there too.

I think teams are getting a steal with Rodgers. I think the guy will have a fantasy Top 10 RB season or two. I question whether Lewis will last long in the league, but very few RB's in the league right now have his quicks changing direction. Could make an impact perhaps as a COP back.Kendall Hunter just seems like someone the Skins will take. (Which I think vaults him into the Top 6-7 rookie picks)

Ward 6'0", 4.47 in the 40, 194, started at flanker, tailback, quarterback and split end.Cobb 5'10", 4.46, 191, started at same positions (although his coach is on the record saying he is more a 4.6 guy)so similar in many ways, but 5 10 is getting into smurf size
I think he compares best to Harvin
:goodposting:Harvin minus the migraines= Cobbs
That 4.46 doesn't seem accurate.4.6 is more like it.I don't think he's as game-breaking as Harvin at all. Clutch, yes, but he isn't reminding anyone of Dante Hall's video game like moves or speed.Cobb is simply a football player. With everyone obsessed with him playing WR, I don't know why the Pack bothered picking him and it makes me super curious since I don't see him cracking their top 3 lineup for significant playing time at WR.I'm assuming Driver, Jennings, and Jordy are there.I don't see any Pack RBs or backup QBs that couldn't lose a SMALL amount of time to Cobb if they needed a spark. If that's true, I will love this pick.I wanted the Panthers to use Armanti at QB for a spark and they barely did-5? plays- so I might have some wishful thinking here.
