Draft league... (1 Viewer)

Okay, silly idea here (don't flame, 'cause I don't care).

An owner in my league wants to add an injury slot to the roster, which I am against (being the Commissioner -- and I don't feel like policing it).

Then I got to thinking...what if you didn't even had a bench? How about a league where, every week, you draft your starting players just for that week? Head to head wins still apply, as do high score awards. Draft order would be based on overall standings.

Any merit to this unusual type of league? Heard of anything similar (other than a late or mid-year redraft)?

Let me get this straight, you don't want to have an IR slot cause you don't feel like policing it. But you think holding a weekly draft would be ok?

we have two IR spots in our league. If the player is questionable or worse then he is deemed as a player that can be placed on IR, even if he plays, just as long as he was Q going into the game.

I'm pretty sure there are leagues where you can choose a starting lineup out of every player in the NFL and whoever has the most points wins the week.

Alternately, I know there are "stock exchange" type leagues where you buy and sell players throughout the course of the year.

Both of these would somewhat achieve the "every week is a new season" effect you seem to be looking for ...
