Drew Bennett going forward: (1 Viewer)

What do we expect from Bennett going forward? I think Bennett's first three (good) weeks will look like an anomaly in the final analysis, based on the following:

1) TEN is just plain bad - how much offense will there really be from this squad?

2) VY under center the rest of the way - I think we're in for a painful learning cycle.

3) Match-ups coming against IND (x2), JAX (x2), BAL, PHI...

4) Targets were more evenly spread among WRs and TEs with Young under center, and there were less of them.

I don't think there are any players on TEN that I want on my team at this point - it's a mess.

C'Mon, people! Should I not have used the word "anomaly?"

This is a guy who was 5th in the league for targets after three weeks with Collins at the helm. Young comes in and he gets 4 targets for 2 catches. He's catching less than 50% of his targets overall, which you have to figure is going to go up - but does he stay a viable fantasy starter, or start dropping off the radar?

I think his value plummets with Young at QB...he had potential to be a solid wr2 with Collins, but I think that ship has sailed.

I say his production will drop off a tad until Young get's comfortable. Collins had 4 chances against Miami to hit Bennett for long TD's and just plain missed him. Collins stinks. Young throws a great ball and will hook up with Bennett more and more as the season goes on. I think it is too early to just flat out say he will drop off a lot. The next 2 weeks should give us a good idea.

The only thing I can add is that the Titans will be playing alot of catchup football.With Young abilty to move around they may hook up for some good garbage time points.

Collins is a much better passer than Young at this point. Collins can throw the deep pass. I dreaded the day Young came in to play, because Bennett's targets and receptions were and now are going to suffer tremendously.

Vince Young has thrown exactly five passes towards Bennet - a TD while subbing for Collins in game two and 4 passes in the last game.

That is pitiful and scary. Young better learn hbow to find his RECEIVERS instead of his TIGHT ENDS if he ever hopes to be an NFL QB.

If I were Drew Bennett, I'd be demanding the ball from Young while in the huddle and planning my escape from Tennessee next year.
