Drew Brees vs Philip Rivers (1 Viewer)

I'm a Rivers owner, and I've been thrilled with his performance thus far. But how reliable is he going to be from here forward? Should I worry that he might duplicate his Cleveland perfomance, where SD simply did not need to throw the ball in order to score?

How will Rivers' numbers compare to Brees' over the next six games? I ask this beacuse I am considering an offer from the Brees owner in my league, but he is asking for stiff compensation. (I won't give details lest this thread be relegated to ACF.) I'm not asking, "should I make this trade," just trying to get a read on the potential difference between Brees' and Rivers' expected stats.

As a fantasy option, I'd go with Brees. Rivers will have some more good games this year, but the offense is built around Tomlinson and, especially when Merriman and Castillo return, the Chargers should be nursing second half leads more often than coming from behind.

In New Orleans, Deuce McAllister is having a surprisingly good year, but not like Tomlinson. The offense goes through Drew Brees, and has a much higher pass-run ratio than the Chargers' offense does. (Brees has thrown 332 passes so far this year, compared to 274 for Rivers, which is 17.5% more.)
