There is no doubt that Henson was a huge MLB bust, but I don't think he truly qualifies as a huge NFL bust yet since he's never received a real chance to play in the NFL except for a brief appearance in a single game. Maybe this is because he sucks and didn't deserve a chance, but maybe it's also a combination of other factors such as coaching staff, established starters in front of him, etc. He also didn't get huge NFL money as a 6th round pick. About the worst place Henson could have ended up was in Dallas behind Bledsoe and under coach Parcells who loves his veterans and hates rooks. All we really know is that Henson didn't beat out Romo for the backup spot. Apparently Bledsoe can't beat out Romo now either. I would just like to see Henson get some reps with another team before writing him off as a huge NFL bust.Guys like Ryan Leaf proved they were a bust the old fashioned way. They proved it on the field.I can't see how he can pale in comparison. This is a guy who got a $17 million contract from the Yankees as a prospect, that is a lot of money, at least back then. I would bet it is a lot more than what Brien Taylor got.As far as Leaf goes, Henson was very much talked about as being the guy that everyone thought would be the #1 pick overall in the NFL draft had he not signed with the Yankees. That puts him in the lofty draft area of Ryan Leaf and to be honest, Leaf did more in his career than Henson did and it isn't like Henson wouldn't have started for the Cowboys if he ended up being good enough.I think numb has a very good point that he had high, Brien Taylor high in MLB and Ryan Leaf high in the NFL, expectations in both sports and failed miserably in both sports. Pulling a Brien Taylor and a Ryan Leaf in a mere 4 years is quite impressive and worth putting him in the biggest bust of all time category.I think Henson is getting a pass because MLB prospects are a much bigger crapshoot than NFL ones and so people throw out that he was only a 6th rounder in the NFL, which was only because he said we wasn't going to play football at all. If he had passed on baseball, he would have been drafted as high as Tim Couch/Ryan Leaf.Ok I see your point now. I guess you could make a case that he is one of the biggest sports busts of all time due to crashing out of both MLB and the NFL after being so highly touted in both sports at one time. But I still think he pales in comparison to bigger flops in both sports such as Ryan Leaf and other MLB busts such as Yankee prospect, Brien Taylor.I never said he was the biggest NFL bust.Obviously someone drafted in the 6th RD wouldn't get that nod.I am calling him the biggest sports bust of all time, because he was given a huge contract to play baseball, and flopped. As mentioned above had he played football, he would have been a top 3 player.Who knows what would have happened there, and only I belive he was only paid 6th RD $$ from Houston, then traded to Dallas.Drew Henson may have been the #1 overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft over David Carr if he had stayed at Michigan for his senior year didn't sign with the Yankees. The Lions would have almost certainly drafted him over Harrington. But you can't call him the Biggest Bust NFL of all time, since he really hasn't been given a chance to play. But he was a huge MLB bust.
