I think Chester Taylor will be an off-season pickup by CLE and he will be the starter next year. Droughns has played well, but Savage likes Taylor.

or at least provide a source please, thanks.
Geez. Everybody wants a link! Here you go. By the way, Chester kicked the Browns' butts in the one game they played this year. Please don't ask for a link. You can find it in the game logs on nfl.com.

Browns watching Ravens backfield
Sunday, October 16, 2005

Plain Dealer Reporter
An interesting dynamic in Baltimore is worth watching because it could have an impact on the Browns' running back situation in 2006.
Both Ravens' backs, Jamal Lewis and Chester Taylor, can be unrestricted free agents after the season. While the team once intended to lock up Lewis for future years, there have been no contract talks since the season started.
The club may open negotiations at some point this year to credit some of the signing bonus from a potential deal to this year's salary cap. But there has been gradual speculation that Taylor, not Lewis, may be the Ravens' choice as back of the future.
Taylor, 26, had 1,112 yards and a 4.3-yard average in three seasons as Lewis' backup coming into this season. The 2002 sixth-round draft pick from Toledo was a favorite of Phil Savage's. When Savage left the Ravens to be Browns general manager, he tried to steal Taylor, a restricted free agent, by signing him to a cap-unfriendly $3 million offer sheet.
The Ravens had the room to match, and they did. But they can't afford both backs after this season.
"It will be interesting to see which one they choose," Savage said.
Taylor has 110 yards in relief of Lewis this year. His 4.1-yard average, in limited duty, is a full yard better than Lewis' 3.1.
Some believe that Ozzie Newsome, Ravens general manager, has soured on Lewis as a long-term back. Lewis has 5,763 yards and 33 rushing touchdowns in his first four full seasons in Baltimore. He also is one strike away from a one-year NFL suspension.
Newsome said the team has always taken care of its players and has pointed out he can always use the franchise tag to keep Lewis if a new deal can't be worked out.
What does this have to do with the Browns? It's possible they would make another run at Taylor in free agency after the season. Taylor's agent hinted at that after the Ravens matched their offer in March.
Savage and coach Romeo Crennel both favor having two starting-caliber backs.
Reuben Droughns and William Green are signed through 2006 and Lee Suggs is signed through 2007. But the cap costs in terminating the contracts are minimal.
Savage did not dispute Suggs' history of injuries will play a factor in the team's plans.
"I don't know how they don't play a factor," he said. "But any player with an injury history, you have to be careful. Sometimes they emerge as great players when they get over their injuries. We certainly haven't given up on Lee."
We'll see.
