Dunn for Gutierrez (1 Viewer)

The 2nd to last place team has offered me Adam Dunn in exchange for Franklin Gutierrez.

What's odd about this trade is that I just acquired Gutierrez this week off waivers, and he's a non starter on my bench [i'm in 1st place]. I can only figure he's counting on Gutierrez being legit and having strong keeper value next year [in our dynasty league you can keep a FA at his ADP the following season +1 round], otherwise this seems like he's handing over to me a 40+, 100 RBI slugger for next to nothing.

I realize Dunn is an average killer, but he legitimately wouldn't be a full-time starter on my roster. I would probably rotate him at the end of my OF with Alex Rios and Hunter Pence depending on matchups and who has the most starts in a week.

Am I missing something? Would anyone NOT do this trade and, if so, why?

Fun fact: I think Gutierrez is one of the best defenders in the game, statistically this year. But yeah, take Dunn. He may hit a wall in a couple years and just completely fall off the face of the Earth, but it'd be worth it.
