[Dynasty] 2015 Draft Prospects (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Fox Sports' Joel Klatt believes Oregon State QB Sean Mannion is the "safest quarterback in the draft" and will be a second round pick.
"He is as smart as any young NFL QB or backup right now on the chalk board and his velocity is better than expected," Klatt writes. The former Colorado quarterback notes Mannion's 2014 season took a step back due to lost talent around him. We would note that Mannion does not have skills to compensate for things going wrong inside of structure, something Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota do possess. We would be surprised if Mannion is selected before the fourth round.

Minnesota RB David Cobb ran forty times of 4.58 and 4.65 at the Gophers' Pro Day.
They're solid times for the 5-foot-11, 229-pound power runner, whose Combine forty was "4.81" because Cobb pulled a muscle on his first run and couldn't run again. According to NFL draft insider Tony Pauline, the "feeling is" Cobb will be drafted in the fourth round and contribute as a rookie. Cobb is a one-speed runner, albeit with quick enough feet and plus passing-game chops.

Miami TE Clive Walford is a multidimensional NFL weapon, posits ESPN's Louis Riddick.
"Walford going to give NFL defenses problems in 1 on 1 coverage in the [middle of the field] and in the seams," Riddick wrote. "And... he will compete as a blocker." Walford hasn't been able to show his stuff for scouts much this offseason while recovering from a hamstring injury, but he shows plenty on tape. We agree with Riddick's take, and see a Day 2 pick in a weak TE class.

Adrian Coxson - WR - Seawolves

Stony Brook WR Adrian Coxson visited the Kansas City Chiefs and worked out for the New York Giants and the New York Jets last week.

"I met all of the Jets' coaches," Coxson said. "During the workout, their receivers coach said I got out of the breaks fast, caught the ball well and had a good day. The scouts talked to me and they said they watched my film and noticed a chance in how I got out of the breaks and was moving." In addition, Coxson will attend the Ravens' local prospect day on April 21. Coxson has some Day 3 buzz after posting 40-yard dashes of 4.28 and 4.33 seconds at his Pro Day workout last week. The former blue-chip recruit (signed with Florida, transferred to Maryland and then SBU) caught 43 passes for 664 yards and six touchdowns and was named third-team All-Colonial Athletic Association last season. "I definitely feel like the arrow is pointing up," Coxson said. "People are actually starting to notice my skill set. That's a great feeling."

This is a pretty nifty draft probability tool from the good people at Advanced NFL Stats.

This tool shows two things.

1. How probable a prospect will be taken at each of the 32 positions in the first round of the NFL draft.

2. How probable it is that a prospect will still be available at each of the 32 positions of the first round of the NFL draft.

Cool graphs and charts, fun to play around with.

Has Byron Jones rated in the 60s

That's not that crazy. I've seen him ranked 22 to 122.

I thought he wouldn't be a first round talent, but end of the 2nd seems a little crazy. Hes a top 5 CB in this class. Everyone needs a 6'+ corner who is a freak of an athlete.

He may be. There's some pretty serious disagreement on on top CBs.

Bear in mind, it's not a ranking, it's simply charting mock drafts. Which really don't tell us anything at all.

The Cowboys will put Oregon State QB Sean Mannion through a private workout, according to Ian Rapoport.

Mannion Mania, y'all. This news is on the heels of Joel Klatt ranking Mannion as the No. 3 quarterback in the draft, No. 50 overall and calling him the safest prospect at the position. We are amazed, as Mannion really struggles when pressured and does not have the ability to create on his own with movement in the pocket.

Rotoworld:

NFLDraftScout.com's Frank Cooney advises: "Draft [Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford] in the third round and let him be hellacious on special teams while he buys time to prove once again that he is underrated as a running back."
"Langford runs with a combination of patience and moves reminiscent of Warrick Dunn, but has a surprisingly fast shift of gears that leaves defenders on a wrong tangent," Cooney wrote. "As a pass catcher, well, MSU actually penciled him in as a receiver before he made his case as a running back. He has a long ways to go to be trusted as a pass blocker." The 6-foot, 206-pounder collected 1,522 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns on 230 carries last season. "My technique, pass blocking, and being able to run through contact better, which always comes with more experience," said Langford when asked what he needs to work on.

San Diego State WR Ezell Ruffin (collarbone) worked out last week for the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts.
Ruffin conducted the individual workout on the SDSU campus because he was still nursing the after effects of a broken collarbone when his teammates put on a pro day workout for scouts last month. Weighing in at 216 pounds, Ruffin ran a 4.60 40 (besting his 4.65 time from the combine) logged a 31.5-inch vertical jump (27.5) and 9-1 broad. He also clocked a 4.38 in the short shuttle (4.59) and a 6.86 in the 3-cone (7.35 combine). Ruffin is agile, but his overall athletic skill set may not be enough to hang in the NFL long-term.

TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline reports that Utah WR Dres Anderson ran a 4.47 forty at his personal Pro Day.
The 6-foot-1, 187-pound wideout tore his meniscus in October against USC. Anderson was forced to miss the Senior Bowl, the NFL Scouting Combine, and Utah's original pro day. On top of his solid forty time, the Utes prospect also recorded a 10.1 in the broad jump in front of 14 teams that were on hand for his pro day.

E.J. Bibbs - TE - Cyclones

NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt believes Iowa State TE E.J. Bibbs will be an undrafted free agent after his mediocre pro day workout.

Bibbs clocked a slow 4.86 second 40-yard dash at the event. "Big 12 observers would tell you Bibbs was one of the few bright spots for Cyclones the past few years," wrote College Football 24/7 writer Bryan Fischer. "Although a little smaller than some would like, he displayed a knack for catching and running, and even could move to fullback in the NFL based on his skill set." Bengals' tight end coach John Hayes attended the event and spent about 30 minutes working the white board and interviewing the TE prospect after the event.

Rotoworld:

Penn State TE Jesse Jame will visit or workout for the Steelers, Packers, Chargers, Eagles and Ravens
James makes a lot of sense for the Steelers in the fourth round. Teams will tag James with an upside label, as he flashes contested catches from an inline position and has a blocking frame, but neither of those skills were displayed at a consistent level.
