[Dynasty] 2016 Draft Class (2 Viewers)

Rotoworld:

Rashard Higgins - WR - Rams

Colorado State junior WR Rashard Higgins caught eight passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-24 overtime loss to Colorado.

Higgins missed last week's rumble with Minnesota due to a lingering ankle injury, but he didn't miss a beat in his return to the field. The 6-foot-2, 188-pound junior averaged 15.6 YPC against Colorado on Saturday and hauled in a 25-yard touchdown from QB Nick Stevens near the end of the first quarter. While he's now even more unlikely to match last season's superlative numbers (96 catches, 1,750 yards, 17 touchdowns) given the missed game, the only thing holding Higgins back from another monster season is the lingering threat of injury. Hopefully that ankle's healed up right and good. UTSA's leaky defense is up next on Colorado State's schedule.

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. believes USC redshirt senior QB Cody Kessler's draft stock is in the "first-round mix."
In the off season, Kiper noted that Kessler "lacks elite physical tools, but his anticipation and accuracy are ahead of the pack." Kiper ranked Kessler his No. 2 senior quarterback going into the season, right behind Michigan State's Connor Cook.

Utah senior RB Devontae Booker ranks No. 1 amongst Power 5 runners with 1,186 rushing yards after contact since the beginning of last year.
Booker is basically impossible for collegiate defenders to stop because of his power. In DFS formats, his upside isn't as high as Leonard Fournette because Booker isn't going to break as many long runs, but he's perhaps more week-to-week reliable due to his strength and receiving ability. Booker hasn't been held under 100 yards from scrimmage yet in 2015.

An AFC scout compares Notre Dame junior WR Will Fuller to DeSean Jackson.
"He looks like he would break in half if you got a good shot on him, but he's killing it this year because Notre Dame is letting him do his thing," the scout said. "His play speed is legit and he's reminding me of DeSean Jackson this year. I'm starting to buy in." We're with him. The 6-foot, 180-pound Fuller is also a DFS dream, logging 120-plus receiving yards in three straight games and averaging 22.1 yards per reception.

Scouts Inc.'s Kevin Weidl notes that Notre Dame junior WR Will Fuller is "silky smooth and has deceiving speed."
The Notre Dame prospect has already hauled in 18 catches for 397 yards, scoring five touchdowns this season. Weidl adds that Fuller shows "great focus tracking down field," possessing "savvy RAC ability."

UCLA senior WR Jordan Payton caught seven passes for 136 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 56-30 win over Arizona.

Payton and true freshman QB Josh Rosen had things clicking throughout and Payton averaged an impressive 19.4 YPC. The touchdown was a reception of the shorter flavor, though, as Rosen hit him on a five-yard scoring toss near the start of the second quarter. This was the 6-foot-1, 213-pound senior's first game with 100+ yards receiving this season. He's scored touchdowns in each of the last three games and should be viewed as something of boom/bust receiver in daily play. He's a big-time vertical passing threat, but that doesn't always translate into consistent play.

This is some terrible analysis on Payton. He's a decent sized, very strong, possession receiver with great hands. His YAC comes from strength, not speed ("big-time vertical passing threat"). He's not going to blow by dudes. He gets most of his receptions/yards on short out patterns, screens and crossing routes.

I doubt he gets drafted before the 4th Round, but Paul Perkins is a guy I could see do well in the NFL. His physical attributes are not going to blow anyone away and I doubt he'll test well, particularly in speed. But, he has excellent hands, great balance and elite vision. Put everything together and he's an excellent RB. He's just not going to put up athletic freak numbers that get guys drafted early.

He's not someone you dynasty guys would want to break the bank to get super early, but he'd be nice sneaky sleeper pick that I could see pay off.

ETA: He's a RS junior, but those around the UCLA program think he's now at a greater than 50% chance to declare after this year.

Cody Kessler - QB - Trojans

USC redshirt senior QB Cody Kessler "consistently shows very good anticipation and accuracy on short-to-intermediate throws", writes ESPN's Todd McShay.

The Trojans' 6-foot-1, 215-pound redshirt senior lit up Arizona State for 375 yards, five touchdowns and an interception on Saturday. "I was really impressed with Kessler's football IQ when I met with him prior to the Stanford game, and even though USC lost that game, Kessler still played well (3 TDs, 0 INTs, 94.8 adjusted Total QBR)," McShay wrote. "Quick side note: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has made Kessler's life a lot easier this season. The true sophomore has 6 TDs already in 2015 and might be the most talented WR in college football." Kessler ranks second in the nation in pass efficiency.

William Fuller - WR - Fighting Irish

Notre Dame junior WR William Fuller debuted on Todd McShay's Big Board at No. 31.

"Fuller is a big play waiting to happen, as evidenced by his 20.6 yards-per-catch average, best in the FBS among players with at least 20 catches this season," McShay wrote. "He has converted those big plays into six TDs for the Irish. A savvy route-runner, Fuller has developed into the top target in Notre Dame's passing attack, boosting his draft stock in the process." The 6-foot, 180-pound Fuller was compared by an AFC scout to DeSean Jackson last week.

Rotoworld:

Christian Hackenberg - QB - Nittany Lions

ESPN's Todd McShay ranks Penn State junior QB Christian Hackenberg as the No. 26 overall prospect.

Hack fell from No. 20 in McShay's rankings. It's a bit surprising, given his play, that he hung onto a Big Board spot period. "Hackenberg remains the most polarizing prospect in this class," McShay wrote. "His erratic accuracy remains an issue (52.8 completion rate), but he flashes enough good qualities on tape -- not-quite-elite arm strength and the ability to thread the needle on intermediate throws -- to make him an intriguing prospect." Across PSU's first three games, Hack averaged 124 yards per game with a 1/2 TD/INT ratio. He carved up a bad San Diego State defense last week.
