[Dynasty] 2016 Draft Class (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Hunter Henry - TE - Razorbacks

Arkansas junior TE Hunter Henry debuted on Todd McShay's Big Board at No. 28.

This is significant, as it's the first Round 1 grade we've seen given to Henry. "At 6-foot-5, 253 pounds, Henry has the size to develop into a good blocker at the next level, but where he has really made strides this year is in the passing game," McShay wrote. "Ranking sixth among all tight ends in the FBS with 206 yards receiving through four games, Henry has yet to drop a single pass thrown his way." The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Henry recorded 37 catches for 513 yards last season. It's a good sign that his receiving skills have taken another step forward, because we already know he can block.

Rotoworld:

Jordan Howard - RB - Hoosiers

Indiana junior RB Jordan Howard leads the votes for the Big 10's Offensive Player of the Year award, according to ESPN's Dan Murphy.

"Howard is a unanimous pick atop the list for a second straight week, and for good reason. He leads the NCAA in rushing yards after four games. It’s hard to imagine the Hoosiers would still be undefeated at this point if they hadn’t picked up the UAB transfer this winter," Murphy wrote. With Tevin Coleman off to the NFL, the Indiana prospect has made himself right at home, rushing for 675 yards on 111 attempts, averaging 6.1 YPC, with 4 touchdowns on the ground.

Ever since i first saw him i've though Brandon Jacobs.

I think a lot of people are going to be bummed when Henry falls into the late 2nd - 3rd round in the NFL draft. He's not a 1st round RB talent.
Besides the obvious his blocking skills are below avg.

Rotoworld:

Mike Williams - WR - Tigers

Clemson junior WR Mike Williams is likely out for the year while recovering from a small fracture in his neck which occurred in week one.

This isn't a surprise but it is an update on the extremely talented receiver. Williams is expected to recover and play football, but no one knows if his next down will be in the NFL or at Clemson in 2016. Williams has great vertical speed and produces highlight reel catches. We are not doctors, but Williams will be examined by medical staffs at the Combine and news always finds its way to the media. This is for certain: we love what we have seen on the field.

Rotoworld:

Paul Perkins - RB - Bruins

UCLA redshirt junior RB Paul Perkins leads the FBS with 29 forced missed tackles.

He's done so on only 100 carries. He's broken five additional tackles in his nine catches. Per ESPN's Steve Palazzolo, Perkins is also No. 3 in the FBS with 3.9 yards after contact per carry. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound redshirt junior has 577 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the year.

Early look------ How are we looking, are any of the potential 2016 picks at a Gurley, Cooper, or Gordon level?

Or a bunch of TJ Yeldon's, Davante Parker's etc.

Ezekiel Elliott is probably the closest to that level - not sure he's quite there yet, but if he has another great year, I think he's definitely in the neighborhood. As far as WRs go, early indications are that this class isn't as good as 2014 or 15.

Might be a good year for IDP, though.

Thoughts on Travin Dural (LSU WR)? Due to poor QB play and a very solid run game, he rarely gets opportunities. Still an intriguing prospect though, rated as a 2nd-3rd round pick by most sites.

In one article he's described as having "breakaway speed," but his projected 40 time is in the low-mid 4.5s.

Dural has run 21.16 in the 200m, which points towards a faster 40 time than 4.5.

I have not watched him this season, but followed him last year. He is very skinny and lacks agility. He is a straight-line receiver with limited route running/movement skills. I am not a big believer. That was my take on him last year anyway. Would be surprised if he has evolved much.

Pharoh Cooper is a nice little player. Just seems like the type of guy who will have a solid career as a secondary option/utility player in the NFL. Bet he will be a 2nd-3rd round pick.

Baylor redshirt junior WR Corey Coleman sat the second half against Kansas but was able to catch seven passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the first seven minutes.

Rotoworld's Josh Norris believes Coleman is the best receiver in the country, and the Bear continues to produce. He is nearing Baylor's record of 14 touchdowns in a season (Kendall Wright) with 13 in just five games. He's an outstanding athlete who wins with speed and can win in contested situations. Jared Goff: Cal's star quarterback had his first setback of the season, and it was a big one. The junior tossed five interceptions in a 30-24 loss to Utah, including four in the first half. As always, Goff sprinkled in some spectacular throws, but this is one game film Goff would rather not have NFL scouts see.
I just watched the video, and this was actually one of the better 5 interception games that I've seen. Goff was dealing with a ton of pressure and tight coverage all game, and he was able to move the offense pretty well.

Here are his 5 picks (and 1 fumble): INT1, INT2, INT3, INT4, INT5, FUM. Interceptions 3 & 5 and the fumble are all bad plays by Goff, but the first pick was not and 2 & 4 are debatable.

And, for balance, 6 of his better plays: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I particularly like numbers 2 (a beautiful throw) and 5.

Rotoworld:

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer told reporters it is likely that J.T. Barrett will be subbed in for redzone duties moving forward.
When asked if the role change was permanent, Meyer said "I think so. We’re not writing it in Sharpie yet, though." It makes so much sense, and even some in the media had suggested it during the offseason. One, it allows both quarterbacks to get on the field without each looking over their shoulder. Two, the roles play to each quarterback's strengths. Ohio State faces Penn State next.
