Excerpt:

What position will Jaylen Samuels play when he gets to the pros? That’s the question about this versatile North Carolina State product, who seems like he could thrive as a running back, a fullback or a wide receiver, much like Christian McCaffrey for the Carolina Panthers. On Thursday, Samuels got open with ease against his linebacker and safety counterparts time and time again, showing off his quick feet. Samuels, who had 78 rushes for 407 yards (5.2 yards per carry) with 12 touchdowns on the ground and 75 receptions for 593 yards and four scores through the air in 2017 for the Wolf Pack, is definitely an interesting prospect coming into this draft

The most versatile offensive weapons in the 2018 draft

Excerpt:

TE/WR/RB JAYLEN SAMUELS, NC STATE

It was difficult to even give Samuels an official position in college with the way NC State used him on offense, and he’ll be even more difficult to slot at the next level. He was a part tight end, part running back, part slot receiver for the Wolfpack, finishing his college career with 1,865 receiving yards and 1,095 rushing yards to go with 47 total touchdowns (19 receiving, 28 rushing). Samuels has the quickness to be handed the ball in a traditional run game or on jet sweeps while lining up all over the field to create mismatches in the passing game. Other than a difference in size, he is reminiscent of Eagles TE Trey Burton, who came out of college as a jack of all trades and has tapped into some of that ability at the next level.

Penn State WR DaeSean Hamilton hauled in 73.3 percent of his "deep" passes last year, according to Pro Football Focus.

In this case, a deep pass constitutes a throw over 20-yards long. That 73.3 mark for Hamilton is exceptional, and it's not surprising that it lead all of the draft-eligible players in the FBS. There have been concerns about Hamilton's drops at times, but there's no question he's able to make plays down field, and he showed as much during the East-West Shrine and Senior Bowl events. Hamilton very likely is off the board before the end of Day 2.

Anyone know anything about Dylan Cantrell?  I heard his name on Good Morning Football from Schrager, and I looked for videos and everything, but there is literally only 1 with very little information anywhere to be found.  From his 1 video he looks pretty good and according to Shrager, was being talked about as a 3rd-4th round guy and is going to blow up the combine.

Draft Wire's Luke Easterling believes that Iowa State WR Allen Lazard will be a "bargain" in Day 3.

Lazard's calling-card is his size (6'5/223), and as Easterling puts it: "he makes life difficult for smaller defensive backs." He was productive in his time with the Cyclones even in lean years where quarterback play was an issue, and he snagged 10 touchdowns in his senior year. "The depth of this year’s class could push him into the middle rounds," Easterling writes, "where he’ll be a bargain for a team looking for a physical pass-catcher."

Kansas City Chiefs 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Hayden Hurst

NFL Draft prospect of the day: South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst

‘Rabid and rowdy’: South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst’s intensity a big selling point

Hayden Hurst No. 1 TE for 2018, top NFL draft guru says

2018 Prospect Primer: TE Hayden Hurst

Hurst has NFL draft goal and thinks he knows the number to get there

Hayden Hurst is a good all-around TE and would be a great insurance policy for the Redskins

2018 NFL Draft: The Carolina Panthers should draft tight end Hayden Hurst with a second day pick

NFL.com Draft Analyst Mike Mayock believes that South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst's blocking separates him from the rest of the tight ends.

Hurst currently ranks as Mayock's top tight end over players like South Dakota State Dallas Goedert, Oklahoma's Mark Andrews and Penn State's Mike Gesecki. Some analysts have concerns about the lack of upside in the former Gamecocks tight end, as he's "physically maxed out" and turns 25 before his first NFL game. Still, because he's an effective receiver and blocker, he has a real chance to be the first at his position to come off the board.

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein compares Miami RB Mark Walton to Patriots RB James White.

Zierlein expects Walton (5'10/188) to be drafted in Round 4 and said he's "a fluid combo back with the ability to compete for committee carries and third down snaps." An AFC team scouting director believes in Walton's talent but said, "He's going to fall but only because he's coming out in a season where there are so many backs" and "you might be able to grab him later than you might expect for a player who can help you on all three downs." Beyond Zierlein's comparison of Walton to White, he also was compared to another versatile back in Falcons RB Devonta Freeman by NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah. Walton's draft stock has the potential to rise quite a bit with a good performance at the combine.

2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen to Giants, USC RB Ronald Jones lands with Eagles

"Allen broke his right (throwing-side) collarbone as a high school sophomore and again as a Cowboys freshman in 2015, when it broke in seven spots and required eight screws and a plate to fix surgically."

It has Penny and Johnson but no Michel?  Flawed list.
meh. At this point there is a huge fluid 2nd tier at the RB spot.  Would you really be shocked if once the NFL draft rolls around Penny or Johnson goes ahead of Michel?

At this stage i'd go Michel, but could easily see that opinion changing post NFL draft.

So, now he's like Robocop and he can't be stopped? Or is he more fragile?

One Maryland coach called WR D.J. Moore "one of the best people I've been around."

"Loves the game. Works his *&%S off and never had an issue in terms of character," NFL Media's Dan Hellie quoted one Maryland coach saying. The receiver class is a bit murky at this point, with Alabama's Calvin Ridley viewed by most as the top wide receiver. After that rankings seemingly split, and Moore continues to generate more and more buzz.
