[Dynasty] 2019 NFL Draft Class (1 Viewer)

NFL team(s) asked Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald to work out with the tight ends at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Translation: "We don't think you have any shot at quarterback." Fitzgerald (6'5/226) of course didn't work out with the tight ends as he holds out hope that he can turn things around as a passer. However, we aren't sure that will ever happen after struggling for two straight years in college. If Fitzgerald were to make it in the NFL, it will likely be in a unique role like the one the Saints have utilized with Taysom Hill.

Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy believes WR Gary Jennings' 4.42 40-yard dash was "no surprise."

Nagy continued by saying Jennings (6'1/214) "had fastest max speed on South team (per Zebra Technologies) in this year’s #seniorbowl game at 21.56 mph and field speed is far more important than any 40 time." Nagy is far ahead of the game on this one. The 40-yard dash will nearly become irrelevant once player tracking data is used during all college football games. Until then, the 40-yard dash is one of our few ways to quantify a players speed. Jennings posted an 82nd percentile SPARQ score overall and is in play for an early Day 3 selection.

Former NFL Personnel man Bryan Broaddus believes Lil'Jordan Humphrey "might be a big slot" in the NFL.

After testing with a 28th percentile SPARQ score at the NFL Scouting combine this seems to be his most likely role on an NFL team if he makes it through training camp. Broaddus also mentioned Humphrey (6'4/210) "catches a ton of balls." Humphrey's draft stock is hovering around Day 3 at this point.

NFL Network's Bucky Brooks considers Texas WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey one of the biggest losers of Saturday's session at the NFL Scouting Combine.

This isn't a surprise as Humphrey (6'4/210) posted the worst 40-yard dash among all wideouts and was out-paced by more than 10 tight ends. Brooks noted, "The Texas standout was viewed as a potential sleeper entering the combine, but scouts are rewriting those grades" after his 40. He'll now be a likely Day 3 selection.

NFL Combine 2019: Which tight ends helped, hurt stock? Noah Fant, T.J. Hockenson, Caleb Wilson, more

The Draft Network's Jon Ledyard believes San Diego State TE Kahale Warring is the "sleeper you need to know" at the tight end position.

Warring (6'5/252) excelled in the athletic testing, posting an 80th percentile SPARQ score. This was good for fourth in this year's athletically-gifted tight end class behind Iowa's T.J. Hockenson (87th percentile), LSU's Foster Moreau (89th percentile), and Iowa's Noah Fant (98th percentile). Ledyard believes Warring shows "shocking polish as a route runner" and "maintains quickness out of his breaks." After his strong performance at the NFL Scouting combine, Warring will likely be selected sometime on Day 3.

ESPN's Todd McShay lists Ole Miss WR D.K. Metcalf, Mississippi State Montez Sweat, and Michigan LB Devin Bush as three prospects with the most impressive workouts.

All three of them showed elite speed, especially given their sizes. Metcalf (6'3/228) was the talk of the event early after running a 4.33-second 40-yard dash, but some of that buzz was erased after seeing his historically bad results in the agility drills (3-cone and short shuttle). If Metcalf wants to reach the Julio Jones-level, he has to dramatically improve his ability to get in-and-out of his breaks. Even with that factored in, Metcalf is now expected to be a top-20 selection with a chance to join Sweat inside the top-10.

Baldwin was dumb and couldn't grasp a playbook. DHB cannot catch a football. Only stupid teams will compare him to those 2 or other hacks. That means he has a better chance to be drafted by a team that knows how to use him.

 
2 offers from the usual suspects in Dynasty. Both want Metcalf. 2019 1st (1.12) & 2020 1st in 14 team dynasty for 1.01. The other offer is 'everyone I got'. :lol:

Depends on who the everyone is.  I'm not jealous of anyone having the 1.1 this year, to be honest.

I haven't gotten any offers yet. It's the first time I have ever had a 1.01 in 7 years of playing dynasty now (not a lot I know). At least I traded for it. Nobody is excited about it. Almost certainly will have to wait until after the NFL draft.

It’s been crickets in terms of offers for the 1.01. So my plan is to keep it. Eff everybody. The 1.01 is now undervalued and you should be trading for it on the cheap. Just not mine!

Those are terrible offers. I have 1.01 too. I think this is the year we need to keep it. Perception is it’s a bad draft. Better to keep the pick and get it right.

Yeah this draft isnt as bad as people make it to be. there are some potential game changers at wr... we could see some in the top 10 rather quickly IMO

He's got pedigree and he's really good. Totally under-rated.
