Alabama senior RB Brian Robinson has accepted an invitation to the 2022 Senior Bowl.

Robinson led the Crimson Tide in rushing this season, toting the rock 223 times for 1,071 yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Per Pro Football Focus, Robinson Forced 63 tackles on the season, and had 16 carries of 15+ yards on the year. PFF.com graded Robinson. UTSA junior RB Sincere McCormick was named First Team All-Conference USA on Tuesday.

McCormick (5'9/200) led the conference in rushing last season with 1,479 yards, and was second in rushing touchdowns with 15. He also caught 23-of-23 targets for 183 yards, as the Roadrunners leaned heavily on McCormick during it's 12-1 season. In the C-USA championship game against Western Kentucky, McCormick rushed 36 times for 204 yards and three touchdowns, which included a 65-yard touchdown in the second quarter. McCormick is a physical runner who forced 46 missed tackles last season per Pro Football Focus, and reeled off 15 breakaway runs (runs of 15+ yards) on the year, while also going for 10+ yards on 31 carries. McCormick and the Roadrunners draw a tough bowl matchup against a San Diego State defense that allowed the second-fewest rushing yards per game in 2021 (77.7).

Colorado State senior TE Trey McBride was named John Mackey Award Winner for the best tight end in College Football.

McBride (6'4/260) was the clear-cut winner as he led all tight ends with 90 catches and 1,121 yards. He also had one of the best seasons in the Rams' history as he had the fourth-most catches in a single season and became the first Colorado State tight end to record a 1,000-yard season. With his size and ability to be a great pass catcher, he going to be someone NFL teams will pay close attention to leading up to the draft.

USC WR K.D. Nixon declared his eligibility for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Nixon (5'8/190) spent four years at Colorado as a core starter tallying 104 receptions, 1,265 yards, 12.1 YPC and seven touchdowns before transferring to USC to compete for playing time on the Trojans' talented wide receiver corps. Nixon didn't quite the impact he had hoped for, logging just 86 offensive snaps while catching three-of-eight targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. He saw most of his game action on the kick and punt return teams, which is where he could try and carve a niche at the NFL level.

Appalachian State redshirt senior WR Corey Sutton (upper body) will not play in the upcoming Boca Raton Bowl against Western Kentucky.

Sutton (6'3/205) started every game this season, leading the Mountaineers with 61 receptions for 901 yards, a 64 percent catch rate, 14.8 YPC and seven touchdowns in 2021. The accomplished wideout ranks third in Mountaineer history with 24 career touchdown receptions. It's an unfortunate end to a productive career, as Sutton was injured making a reception against Louisiana in the Sun Belt Conference championship game. His strong 83.6 receiving grade according to PFF shows he was one of the top wideouts in the nation and has the potential to make an impact in the NFL.

Washington State redshirt junior RB Max Borghi has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

It has yet to be announced whether or not Borghi (5'10/205) would opt out of his team's bowl game on December 31st, although it wouldn't be surprising if he did so. Borghi was long expected to declare for the draft at the end of this season, after totaling 880 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the year, while catching 16 passes for another 156 yards. Borghi has been a dual-threat back for the Cougs since a breakout season in 2019 where he rushed for 817 yards and 11 touchdowns (6.4 yards per carry) while catching 86 passes for 597 yards and another five touchdowns.

Washington State redshirt junior RB Max Borghi will not play in the team's Sun Bowl game as he prepares for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Borghi (5'10/205) announced on December 13th that he would be declaring for the draft, but it was more clear on Tuesday that he would in fact miss the team's bowl game. The Cougars are likely to feature more of sixth-year running back Deon McIntosh in their bowl game against Miami. This season, McIntosh has rushed for 538 yards and three touchdowns on 111 carries while also catching 14 passes for 114 yards and another score.

Memphis redshirt senior WR Calvin Austin will opt out of the Hawaii Bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Austin (5'9"/162) has had an incredible journey, going from a walk-on to back-to-back 1000+ yard seasons. The speedster is nursing an ankle injury, and it makes sense not to risk anything in what is essentially a meaningless game. Austin has some outlets projecting him to be a Day 2 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Virginia TE Jelani Woods declared his entry into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Woods (6'7/275) spent his first three collegiate seasons as a backup at Oklahoma State, catching 31-of-45 passes for 361 yards and four touchdowns with the Cowboys before transferring to UVA in the offseason and becoming one of QB Brendan Armstrong's favorite weapons. He secured 44-of-77 targets for 598 yards, 13.6 YPC and eight touchdowns. Woods earned an 82.8 receiving grade from PFF this year, the 13th highest such grade they awarded to tight ends. He has the size and athleticism to create major mismatch problems in the NFL and should find himself taken in the middle-rounds next April.

Cal QB Chase Garbers declared his entry into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Garbers (6'2/225) has been a consistent presence under center at Cal for the past four seasons, leading the Golden Bears through thick-and-thin. Over his career, he has connected on 598-of-965 passes for a 62 percent completion rate, 6,578 yards and a 50-to-24 TD/INT ratio. He set career highs in passing yardage with 2,531 and touchdown passes with 16 this season while earning a very respectable 79.3 passing grade from PFF. While not an upper-level athlete, Garbers did a nice job making progressions and staying away from making mistakes as his 1.8 percent turnover worthy play rate will attest. He was most comfortable throwing intermediate range passes in the middle of the field and averaged 9.6 air yards per throw at Cal. He is likely to be rated in the QB10-15 range of the 2022 NFL Draft class, so he will be lucky to earn a draft selection in the late rounds.

Nebraska TE Austin Allen declared his entry into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Allen (6'9"/255) is a towering inline tight end who lined up inside 66 percent of the time but was a versatile receiving threat as well, catching 38-of-48 passes for 602 yards, 15.8 yards per reception and two touchdowns this year. His advanced analytics stats are excellent, as Allen earned the fifth highest PFF receiving grade in the country with a 90.8. He caught six-of-seven contested targets in addition to posting 2.52 yards per route, which is one of the top marks for the position. His towering size makes him a formidable blocker when called upon, posting a solid 72.8 pass blocking grade. Allen is a top-10 caliber tight end in the 2022 class and should hear his name called in the middle rounds of the NFL Draft.

Buffalo RB Kevin Marks Jr. declared his entry into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Marks Jr. (6'0/205) has had a productive four-year career at Buffalo, making an impact as soon as he arrived in 2018 by rushing 181 times for 844 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman. He then formed one of the best rushing duos in the country alongside Jarrett Patterson, posting 1,026 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore before rushing for 6.6 yards per carry on 742 yards last year. This season he was sidelined by injuries which sapped his explosiveness, leading to a career single-season low of 4.1 YPC. Dylan McDuffie eventually supplanted Marks Jr. as the starting running back, leaving the veteran playing second fiddle down the stretch. After such a long career, Marks Jr. has little to prove in college and might as well take a swing at the NFL before his body absorbs any more hits.

UTSA RB Sincere McCormick has officially declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

McCormick (5'9/200) will forgo his final year of eligibility and being prepared for the 2022 NFL Draft. McCormick, named First-Team All-CUSA earlier this year, led the conference in rushing last season with 1,479 yards, and was second in rushing touchdowns with 15. He also reeled in 23-of-23 targets for 183 yards. McCormick played a large factor into helping the Roadrunners finish 12-1.

Former West Virginia senior RB Leddie Brown will declare for the 2022 NFL draft.

Brown (5'11/216) made the announcement on his personal Twitter that he will also skip the Guaranteed Rate Bowl against Minnesota to prepare for the NFL draft. He's coming off back-to-back 1,000+ rushing yard seasons and will finish sixth all-time in rushing yards by a Mountaineer. His ability to burst through the line of scrimmage and break past the secondary should get him noticed by NFL scouts. Tony Mathis who had a breakout performance of 158 yards on 22 carries in the regular-season finale against Kansas should be the lead back going forward.

Western Kentucky redshirt senior QB Bailey Zappe completed 33-of-47 passes for 422 yards and six touchdowns in Saturday's 59-38 win over Appalachian State.

Zappe (6'1/220) entered Saturday's game against Appalachian State with intentions of not only getting a win, but setting FBS passing records. The first team All-CUSA quarterback needed just 288 yards to set the single-season FBS passing yards record, and five touchdowns to break Joe Burrows 2019 record of 61 touchdown passes. Zappe nearly set both records in the first half, tossing two first quarter touchdowns to wide receivers Jerreth Sterns and Mitchell Tinsley, and then two more touchdowns to Joey Beljan and Sterns again in the second quarter. Midway through the third quarter however, Zappe would get his records, as he broke the single-season passing yards record, which now stands at 5,967, and the single-season touchdown record on the same drive when he found Mitchell Tinsley for his second touchdown of the day on a two-yard touchdown pass. Zappe would throw one more touchdown pass to Sterns in the third quarter to end his season with 62 touchdown passes. It was an impressive final performance by Zappe, who fell 33 yards shy of becoming the first quarterback to ever throw for 6,000 yards, which could have come to fruition had he not been pulled in the fourth quarter. Zappe will now set his sights on the 2022 NFL Draft, but will also be appearing in the Reese's Senior Bowl ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine.

Not that this is the venting thread but I'm in major trouble in my franchise league since the NO defense outscored Kamara, Evans and Patterson 15 to 6.5!  Since I need a miracle tonight to advance and I will be drafting at 4 and 10 (unless the miracle happens) I'm shifting to the draft.

Here are my top 10 right now:

RB - Spiller, Walker, Hall

WR - Wilson, Burks, Williams, London, Bell, Pickens, Olave

Which of those guys have declared for the draft?  Anybody tracking yet?

Missouri running back Tyler Badie to skip bowl game, enter NFL draft

Missouri senior RB Tyler Badie declares for the NFL Draft.

Along with declaring for the draft, Badie (5'8"/194) also opted out of Wednesday's Lockheed Armed Forces Bowl against Army. Throughout the 2021 season, Badie has been the one consistent source of offense for the Tigers. Averaging six yards per carry, Badie ran for 200+ yards on five occasions, gaining 1,934 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.

If Thibodeaux goes 1.01, it will be really impressive. 2019, Herbert should have been 1.01. In 2020 Sewell was the best player in the draft.  Maybe Thibo is the best player of 2021. Could be a real run by Oregon!

If only Oregon could maximize that talent. 😡

Coastal Carolina senior TE Isaiah Likely will declare for the NFL draft.

This was a very logical decision as Likely's (6'4/220) stock has risen this season. The Chanticleers senior had a career-high 912 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021. With his size, great hands, and lack of all-around tight end depth in the NFL, he should be someone whose name will be called very early in April.
