[Dynasty] 2023 NFL Draft Class (1 Viewer)

A couple months ago, ESPN’s Todd McShay claimed Jalen Carter had “character issues” that could affect his stock.
Yesterday, it was revealed that this past season, Carter paid for his teammate Weston Wallace’s meals with his own scholarship money.
Wallace is a walk-on so he doesn’t eat for free like the rest of the team. Carter heard about this and didn’t want to let that happen, so he contributed his own funds to feed his teammate everyday.

The player could have both. I know nothing about Carter so I don't want to infer my beliefs are he has bad character. Someone could feel a loyalty to his teammates and also make terrible decisions away from the team.
This story is touching and speaks to his heart and willingness to help others out, but this story doesn't diminish McShay's report. I don't like that McShay offers no story or proof and throws this out there as a fact though.

This is interesting… 1st I have read such a statement

My Michigan network swears that Stroud's game isn't going to translate to the NFL and won't be able to rise to the occasion when the chips are down. However Stroud ranked fifth nationally with a sterling 70% completion rate in “close and late” situations,
My Michigan, eh? I’m sure they are not biased against an OSU QB at all…

Aw yes, the tried and true decal scouting. Buckeyes on his helmet? That dog won’t hunt.

Several NFL scouts reportedly believe Will Anderson Jr. is “worthy” of being the first overall pick in the Draft. Anderson is also thought to be better than both players that went first and second last year.
Those two picks being Travon Walker and Aidan Hutchinson

Will Anderson Jr. is a MENACE 1f633.png The Alabama OLB is currently projected to be a Top-5 pick. Alabama hasn’t had an OLB go in the Top-10 of the NFL Draft since at least 2000.

He sure looked good against Georgia in the playoffs. He was probably the best player on the field that day.

Why did both Noah Sewell and Will Anderson Jr have worse numbers in their Jr year compared to their sophomore year?
Great question with Sewell. It was a dramatic decrease in tackles. Kind of hard to explain, I would think those would be much less likely to fluctuate like sacks or turnovers might.

As a former NFL Scout, Noah Sewell is the worst player I’ve seen in this #NFLDraft class 25b6.png https://firstroundmock.com/2023/01/game-film-exposes-noah-sewell/

Posted the RB version of Waldman's B-Z overview of the '23 class a few weeks ago. Here's the TE edition.

Kincaid is clearly his TE1 for fantasy. Between the Waldman and Jeremiah endorsements, along with no points for blocking, I think I'm probably ready to move Kincaid ahead of Mayer for TE1 on my big board.

He echoes that it's a deep class. Thinks there are 16 TEs worth monitoring, possessing the talent to eventually develop into something fantasy relevant at the next level. Compares this to only 8 in '21 and 9 in '22. Identifies a (presumably) very broad definition of a top TE prospect which he lumps Pitts, Freiermuth, and McBride into. Says that there are two guys that fit the bill this year. Kincaid is clearly his top dog. I think he still has Mayer as his #2, but he eventually drops in a "top 2 or 3". Seems to be a fan of Musgrave, possibly to a point of giving him consideration ahead of Mayer. Also has positive things to say about the other usual suspects, Kraft and Schoonmaker (blocking). Seemed a little less bullish on Darnell Washington and LaPorta, at least for fantasy.
