[Dynasty] 2024 NFL Draft Class (1 Viewer)

https://nflcommunications.com/Pages/34-Players-Granted-Special-Eligibility-For-2024-NFL-Draft.aspx
Beginning this year, the East-West Shrine Bowl, HBCU Legacy Bowl, and Senior Bowl are eligible to invite underclassmen to participate in their respective games. The league added an early “soft” deadline of Friday, Jan. 5, for underclassmen to declare for the Draft to assist players and all-star game organizers in the planning and invitation process.

All other players eligible to apply have until the traditional “hard” deadline of Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, to petition for special eligibility for the 2024 NFL Draft. A list of additional players who have been granted special eligibility in accordance with the Jan. 15 deadline will be announced on Jan. 19.

With Henderson returning to college, this RB draft class looks ugly in what was already a thin class. I hope your fantasy team needs WRs and QBs. Also, outside of Bowers and Sanders, the TE class looks ugly also.

IIRC you are a Kentucky fan. You don't like Ray Davis?

I believe Blake Corum and Jonathan Brooks will be solid options a little later in the draft, but I agree with your take.

My team needs WR help, and badly. Only problem is I can’t ever draft WRs worth a damn, and with 1.07 in a 1QB, I’m afraid I’m going to guess wrong yet again and take a WR who ends up being another Terrace Marshall Jr. or Jameson Williams. I’d look to trade up or out but my league is pretty casual for a dynasty league and only half the managers bother to trade.

Of course I like Ray Davis, but he is day 3 NFL draft capital. Not comparing players, only where they probably end up short term, but Dewayne McBride anyone?

Love me some Jonathan Brooks. His ACL only helps fantasy owners with later picks. I l8ke Trey Benson, but he will go before Brooks, People don’t have Brooks on the brain.

Not that anyone cares, but I blew all my picks in a title defense and now have nothing for the spring. But I'm still gonna watch all this stuff and follow it anyway, because it's what we do.

Even though what we do is wrong

Below are composite 2024 superflex rookie rankings. Definitely a QB and WR draft, RBs need a good combine.

I ain't talkin bout chicken and gravy mang! Ahh.... going to school outside Philly when Freeway, Beanie, Peedi were just starting to drop albums was.... *chefs kiss*

And it's always a good idea to stay paying attention. Last year I didn't have any picks in the first three rounds coming into the draft. Wound up making a few moves in the time leading up to it and got back a late 3rd and 4th as add-ins to a larger trade. Practically throw away picks. Turned them into Dell and Puka. Also traded Mixon during the draft for a late 2nd and a future 2nd when I saw Jayden Reed falling and snagged him. And now the draft I had no good picks in is currently looking like the best draft I've ever had.

This probably won't have much impact on the first few rounds of dynasty drafts especially in FFPC leagues with a lot of vets put in the player pool but the pickings might be getting slim in a hurry and have heard some similar things said by others with contacts in the leagues. Probably a better year to trade for 3rd plus round picks in next years draft instead of this one.

Nobody's talking about it because few truly track later round prospects but combination of NIL money, widespread use of extra Covid year, & smallest junior class in over a decade completely wiped out depth of this year's Draft. By late December, our@seniorbowl board fell apart in Rounds 5-7. Teams will either be trading away Day 3 picks to preserve value or selecting players from their free agent side board in April.

Great call out. Thanks.
so drafting free agent vets in FFPC leagues from round 4-7 makes sense. Roster multiple defenses!!! ;)
