Let's talk about handcuffing RBs. IMO, you should really only handcuff the top 10-12 RBs. Drafting Cedric Humes to backup Willie Parker seems sort of silly. Dynasty makes handcuffing more difficult because things can change at the backup RB spot from year to year. So I would be sure not to spend too high of a pick on a handcuff.
Here are the top 12 RBs in FBGs Dynasty Rankings:
1 LaDainian Tomlinson, SD
2 Larry Johnson, KC
3 Shaun Alexander, SEA
4 Clinton Portis, WAS
5 Cadillac Williams, TB
6 Ronnie Brown, MIA
7 Steven Jackson, STL
8 Reggie Bush, NO
9 Lamont Jordan, OAK
10 Willis McGahee, BUF
11 Rudi Johnson, CIN
12 Edgerrin James, ARI
So who are their handcuffs?
1. Michael Turner, pretty confident
2. ???, Q Griffin?, One of the two UDFAs, Howard or Ross? I'd probably stay away
3. Maurice Morris, pretty confident
4. Ladell Betts, pretty confident
5. Pittman? Graham? UDFA Hall? In a redraft, maybe Pittman. Dynasty, I'd stay away
6. Minor? UDFA Riggs? Take a shot on Dopey Williams? I'd stay away.
7. Faulk is too old in Dynasty. Maybe Tony Fisher? Eh.
8. McAllister? Or will he be moved on soon? He'd be too high of a pick to use anyway.
9. Justin Fargas, probably. Worth a flyer on talent.
10. ATrain? Maybe. In redraft he's probably worth it. Dynasty? Eh.
11. Chris Perry, confident and worth it.
12. Arrington, maybe? I'd stay away.
So how many of those are worth drafting later in a dynasty league? I'd say Turner, Morris, Betts, Fargas and Perry. You may want to take a late shot on one of the UDFAs and hope they become good handcuffs.
