These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter lets keep that going as we vote.

1. Peyton Manning

2. Carson Palmer

3. Tom Brady

Tom Brady won this poll by a slight margin. Many people voted for McNabb also so I could not justify giving the #4 slot to Brees when people who voted for Brady might vote for McNabb over him.

Brady. I don't know how McNabb could go here. His mobility is a huge asset for him and he might not regain that fully until 2008. If Brees keeps it up then he could go here. So for me it's 3A - Brady and 3B - Brees.

I went with McNabb here; he's shown year-in and year-out that he can put up stellar numbers and I think he'll be able to recover in time for next year. Brady is the highest floor due to his dependability, but doesn't have the upside potential of the other 2. Brees is more of a wild card; he's proven a lot this year to move into the discussion, but hasn't shown the year-to-year numbers of the other 2.

took Brees...and Im shocked at myself. But after looking at the young pass catching threat that Brees has in Colston and Bush, he should be very good for a long time.

bump for more votes. Some facts,Tom Brady 29 years old:

Tom Brady is currently on pace to throw 3734 yards and 29 TDs this season. Looks pretty consistent with the way he has been performing for the past 4 years. What is remarkable about this is that Brady has been performing at this high level without any truly elite offensive weapons to use compared to other Qbs in his class such as Carson Palmer and Peyton Manning have. Chad Jackson has the potential to develop into a elite Wr. And the Patriots once again have 2 1st round picks available to them in the upcoming draft due to trading Dieon Branch to the Seahawks. The upcoming draft offers several good Wr prospects and it would not suprise me if the Patriots end up drafting one of them to further compliment Tom Brady's options.Drew Brees 28 years next month:

Drew Brees is currently on pace to throw for 5045 yards and 28TDs. This is quite a spike in production now that he is with the Saints but it is not a far cry from the level that he was performing at in SD in 2004. He is just on pace for a lot more pass attempts (602) now with New Orleans than what he had in SD. Completion percentage a yards/attempt are also up and I think Brees has better weapons as well as a more friendly offense than he had in SD. Still Brees has a strong track record of performing well with what opportunities he has.Donovan McNabb 30 years old:

Donovan McNabb was playing at an uber high level to begin the season. The late addition of Stallworth seemed to give him a weapon to replace TO while Stallworth was healthy. Biggest questions surrounding McNabb and Stallworth moving forward are if they can stay healthy. His performance without TO is significantly lower in terms of TDs thrown. As McNabb is aging it seems his rushing stats have declined. And I think that is to be expected. Either that or the injury risk he carries is even more. I don't think McNabb is as worthy of ranking this high as Brady or Brees are because he comes with a lot more risk.Personaly I would choose Brady. I think he has similar upside to Brees, he is a bit more proven and with a bit less risk. Although I can see why they are very close.

I think folks are going to have to realise that last year (when Brady ranked second among fantasy QBs) was an aberration. He usually ranks around 9th/10th. The system in NE just isn't an air-it-out one. Ultimately, Belichick wants to run the ball if he can and use the passing game as a complement to the running game.

Brady is a great QB in real life but his fantasy numbers aren't as good. You don't get bonus points in fantasy for leadership, guts, poise under pressure and so on.
