Dynasty Value - DeAngelo Williams / Jonathan Stewart ? (1 Viewer)

DeAngelo remains what he was last season, a decent flex option as RB3/4.

Stewart is a reliable RB2/3. Had Foster been productive with his opportunities, he would have put up solid numbers.

Between Foster getting so many carries last year and drafting Stewart looks like Deangelo isn't panning out too well.
:moneybag: DW owners should have sold high when they had the chance.
:headbang:
:bag: D Williams owner in dynasty :bag: --- I also hold the 1.1 and 1.2 in rookie draft - waiting to see where mendy falls.. May have to trade williams.
Trade him for what? A bucket of water.

but if Fox holds true, then DeAngelo will start for the next 2 years and Stewart will sit on the bench wasting away.
This is going to be the understated and unpopular point to make at this point. This is a team who is loyal to it's veteran RBs, even if the young guy has better production. This situation is a mess for both Dwil and Stewart owners, IMO, but it's rediculous to assume that Stewart comes in as the load-bearer and DWill is nothing more than the 3rd down guy. That's just not the way they've run that show.

couldn't disagree more. They drafted Dwill to be the feature guy. He has not lived up to expectations,This has nothing to do with loyalty. It has everything to do with lack of productivity.

They are going back to what took them to the Super Bowl, and that is to be a power running team again. Stewart will be that power runner they have missed since Stephen Davis, and DWilliams will be the outside speed runner.

In my league a guy traded D. Will/Bowe/1.2 rookie pick for Addai and Gates.
z44? ;)
He's tearing out his hair right now, he is beyond pissed off.
Hey, when you finally get Atrain to give a workable offer, you gotta take it. He has been trying to sell me on Keith as a needed handcuff to Addai, but I ain't buying. I must have rejected at least 10 offers so far... :wall:
He's claiming he'd be happy with Forte at 1.2. :hophead:

Well he'd been trying to deal Benson for year+. Think finally an owner took him on. Did he finally get the memo he sucks?Glad he's happy to have the Bears RB situation with that deadly passing offense & terrible O-line. Tell him I said hello. And that I'm still not interested in kevin Jones.

Sub in the words "Deshaun Foster" for the word "Dwill" in your post and we have the exact same thing that people were saying two years ago.Lack of productivity didn't stop them from starting Foster after drafting a first round rookie pick.

Well, its not rediculous at all that Stewart, much more suited for the power game that Fox likes to employ, and akin to Stephen Davis, would be the headliner for Carolina. And that the Panthers, by spending another round one selection, now concede that they reached a bit in 2006 for Deangelo Williams by taking him in the first round when he is not strong enough of a runner, despite the fact that he was productive in his limited action last year. Best case scenario for DWill owners: If DWill can run like Warrick Dunn with Stewart playing a Mike Alsott role, it would be pretty interesting. At least they drafted Otah, a great move.More likely scenario: Stewart plays a Stephen Davis role and DeAngelo is what Deshuan was four years ago.

Maybe a Deuce/Bush type split for time on the field.

D Will is nice, but he cannot shoulder a load.

Stewart will do very well under John Fox and the passing weapons should help him avoid stacked boxes.
