As a Gates owner trying to stay in 1st place in my dynasty league in week 9 I gave Brandon Tate and a late 2nd for Tamme and an early 3rd. Not sure if he's worth more or less now that he has a back issue but still shows no signs of fading when on the field.

I agree, that's steep. But if you're playing for this year and you honestly feel Tamme is what seperates you from holding serve I think it's justified. Of course, Tate is the wildcard.

I would pay that price in a second if I thought Tamme was the one thing keeping me from contending this year, and I had a decent crop WRs that I wouldn't mind losing Tate.
Yea it was a tough call but I project to finish strong and heck I may even use Tamme as my flex if Gates does come back and both are playing well. As for next year I've got Jimmy "the next Jermichael Finley" Graham and am deep enough at WR (Roddy, Miles, RMoss, Garcon) that I felt it was worth the cost. It also kept the teams I will be facing in weeks 15/16 from getting him, all TE needy too in a year where elite options grow thin.
As to next year Clark (and Wayne) aren't getting any younger and you never know. He'd be tough to cut in the offseason if he finishes as he's started but maybe I can leverage him to the Clark owner in the offseason to recoup some value in addition to what he gave for 2010.
What's funny is in a few weeks we may be talking about the Jimmy Graham and Tamme owners as having an advantage over the rest of the league if Zach Miller and Gates can't stay healthy.
As to Tate ... I think his upside is WR2 not WR1 and those are not hard to find and as a WR minimalist I hate carrying more than 4 anyway!

I agree with this. I traded Santana Moss and Mike Thomas in my dynasty for Tamme and Steve Smith CAR. Keller is too inconsistant and I felt Tamme would help my bid for the Title. If it doesn't work out, I still feel I have enough depth at WR for the future and it was worth a shot. It's the 8th year of our league and I've never won yet. Gotta try.
