DYNASTY- What kind of trade offers for Michael Turner? (1 Viewer)

Apologies to anyone who's sick of reading threads/hype about this guy. But then again, if this applies to you, you really shouldn't be reading this, should you?

Michael Turner is a guy who will likely draw a lot of trade offers in dynasty leagues as the season goes on and teams are eliminated- I would like to hear from owners who have received trade offers they have accepted, rejected, or considered, as well as an idea of what other owners would be willing to give up for him.

In another thread someone mentioned that they had a first-round rookie pick value on Turner, and wouldn't consider anything less in trade. If anything, his value has likely gone up since that statement was made.

Getting the ball rolling, I will be turning down an offer of Michael Vick and Ike Bruce in my dynasty league.

I would only take a decent (top half of the round) pick for Turner. I think his value is going to rise in the next couple of months.

I have him in two dynasty leagues and I would want two 2007 first round picks at this point.

I am short on RB's in both leagues, otherwise I might try for a single 2007 first round pick if I thought it would be top 5.

14 team dynasty. I offered 4 2007 first round draft picks for Turner and Norwood with one most likely 3rd, one in the 6-8 range, one in the 8-10 range and one most likely 14th. Turned down cold.

I got him for a 1.11 pick at the beginning of the year. I am in a deep keeper league but when it comes to RB it is very similar to a dynasty league. I would not trade him away for anything close to that.

I traded for Turner in preseason, 14-team dynasty league:

Received -

RB M Turner SD

RB M Bennett KC

RB S Davis STL RB (still a free agent at the time)

Gave up -

RB V Haynes PIT

WR S Parker KC

WR D Stallworth PHI (he had dropped to #3 with the Saints at the time)

Then I traded him away before week 2, same league:

Received -

WR R Wayne IND (top-10 WR now, in his prime at 27, and given Harrison's age...)

QB T Jackson MIN (moved him four days later for a likely #15-16 overall pick)

Gave up -

RB M Turner SD

2007 #1 pick (I'm a strong favorite to reach my league's finals for the 4th straight year, so this looks to be about overall pick #13-14)

The picks are close to a wash, so I see the deal as Wayne for Turner. While Turner has a lot of promise, he's also being over-hyped right now and an owner could end up waiting all of 2006 and 2007 for him to emerge, only to find him in a bad situation where he doesn't turn out as great as imagined. I have a championship calibre team, and I chose to take the WR1 that could help me win it all the next few years over the potential of a backup RB.

I traded for Turner early in the offseason (April) in another 14-team dynasty league and still hold him:

Received -

RB M Turner SD

RB C Perry CIN

Gave up -

WR P Burress NYG

RB P Holmes KC

I got Turner for Mike Bell the day they named Bell the starter...I got Turner in another league for Ladell Betts, from a Portis owner who had no RB depth.

Both leagues I have LT, and both owners contacted me to see if I was in interested.

I won't trade him unless someone is in the mood to overpay.

Same here, Turner is pretty much untradeable as a backup to LT and a future #2 RB. If I needed someone to start right now, that Chester Taylor and Clayton offer would have been snapped up, but I don't expect anyone to actually make that offer in my leagues.
