[DYNASTY] Who holds more value Reggie Bush or MJ Drew? (1 Viewer)

I know Reggie Bush was drafted high and has all the publicity but he hasn't produced all that much. He has Duece in front of him as well. When is duece a FA?

MJ-Drew has produced and shown some good things and Fred Taylor is much older than Duece.

So who holds more value in a dynasty?

At this point Drew is looking better. Both are good receivers but Drew is a much more powerful runner than Bush in the NFL.

I'm not giving up on Bush yet. I would still want him over Drew in a dynasty league. Reggie needs to learn to slow down and let the game come to him, he is trying to hard when the ball gets in his hands. The staff is doing a great job of not overworking him and just taking advantage of him in certain matchups. Reggie will still be a stud in FF.

I personally would take Bush. hes an explosive element in the offense, and would easily start over deuce if anything were to happen to him. He also got more carries than deuce did last week vs. Pittsburgh.

Its something special when a back has to SLOW down and adjust to the NFL speed.... I really like both of these backs for the future.. I still favor Reggie in the long run.. He has shown signs lately of trying to be a bit more patient... He had a couple runs last week were he just lowered his head and went instead of dancing around... He learns to do that consistantly and he will be golden... I saw MJ in Indy early in the year.. He impressed me too but it was the Colts D even before McFarland.

MJD - and I wouldn't think twice.

MJD is elusive, but will run you over if he has too.

Bush was supposed to be elusive, but so far has been knocked down for minimal gains/losses. Yes, it's possible that Bush improves as he learns the NFL game more, but MJD has already arrived in the NFL and is having a major impact.

Now if your dynasty league awards "decoy" points, it's a whole different story.

I've got to wonder how many people (like myself, admittedly) who picked up Drew solely because he was drafted as the backup to Fragile Freddy.

These are the career stats of one Walter Payton. Look at year 1. Glad people didn't give up on him. I'm not saying that Reggie Bush will be as good as the greatest RB IMO of all time, but please let's just get through this year and see what happens next year.

IMO, MJD will be an afterthought next year. Time will tell.

I would take Bush over MJD without hesitation. I think alot of people that are selling low on Bush are going to be kicking themselves in a years time.

I agree Ive seen 4 saints games this year and Bush did well in all of them. Even when hes not the feature back ive seen him break 30+ yard runs numerous times in a limited role. He has potential, and in time his role will increase.

I have nothing against Bush, I think he's a special player with amazing potential in an excellent situation to develop. But anyone who has watch Drew player has to know that he has huge potential as well. He's the Jags short yardage back at 5'6" as well as the third down back and spot RB. That's a rare combination of skills as well. It doesn't have to be either or with these two guys. Both seem poised for long and productive fantasy and NFL careers.

That's interesting since his long run on the year is 18 yards. And he hasn't had more carries than Deuce in a single game yet this year.

Not sure why the number of carries matters, especially when many of Bush's receptions are nothing more than extended handoffs. They (Deuce and Bush) are essentially equal in their number of offensive touches.

I drafted Bush and Addai in the first round of my 16 team dynasty league and Drew in the second round. I traded Drew for Lundy (week 4ish) and Jennings and Addai for Colston (2 weeks ago). My point is I still love Bush. :banned:

The question is which has more "value" in a dynasty league. I'm pretty sure despite the performances through the first 10 games of each of these players' careers, you could get MJD + x + x for Reggie Bush in a dynasty league.

I think MDJ, isnt getting the love he deserves, but keep in mind-he's also getting more opportuites this year than he might next year when the full back comes back. del rio likes smash mouth guys, although he is making his case to warrant more time, next year will be uncertain and we know bush will alaways be a part of the game plan.

You gotta be kidding. The full back? Greg Jones? MJD surpassed their career stats in about 4 games. MJD has a lock on the 3rd down back spot. He has a lock on the short yardage/goal line stuff. And Taylor is heading out the door. MJD is going to have lots of touches next year. Greg Jones. *lol* Yeah I'd worry about him.

Ummmmm ... MJD IS the goal-line, smash-mouth RB on the Jags. He ALSO has speed and elusiveness. That is the new breed of NFL RB's IMHO(LT2, Westbrook, Parker, MJD). Bush's skill set is more 3rd down, change of pace type back. Can he add power to that??? I hope so.

i must have confused handoffs with screen pass receptions. same result.
That's interesting since his longest reception is 32 yards (in a game in which he had 4 for 48). His next longest is 23 (in a game in which he had 6 for 68). After that, his next longest is 14.When did these multiple 30+ yard receptions occur?
