Eagles throwback uni's (1 Viewer)

The blue and yellow colors were the first colors worn by the Eagles, after the Frankford Yellow Jackets went bankrupt and the NFL awarded the Philadelphia franchise to a syndicate headed by former University of Pennsylvania teammates Lud Wray and Bert Bell for an entry fee of $2,500. The Swedes were in Philadelphia before the arrival of William Penn and he incorporated their colors into the City of Philadelphia's flag.

The only thing that could possibly improve this situation is for the cheerleaders to be naked that game...

These are gay but the SD baby blues are the best jerseys in sports? :banned:

I kinda like these.

As if there wasn't enough reason for me to try and get rid of my tickets to the Detroit game in the first place. :banned:

I now know what was the inspiration for the Sacramento Surge Unis. Still ain't close to the worst though. they sorta look like Michigan's helmets except with the color settings on the TV all screwed up.

I like it..

I also like the throwback Canuks uni.

Not the ugly Big V, but the one they used in game 7

against the stars.... circa 1971.

Some of us have a Frankford Yellowjackets hat.... but it wasn't this awful colorscheme.

I wonder if they chose these outfits to make black and white film more contrasting?

Man, those are bad.

Good god, what in the world are they thinking??? I always thought teams did this stuff to sell more merchandise, but they obviously weren't concerned about making money with these things.

When I heard they were using throwback jerseys this year, i was hoping for the '80 jerseys, didn't ever think they would throwup back to the '30s.

This is so horrid is that all I could come up with is that maybe this is some perverse "New Coke" marketing strategy. Wear this putrid throwback (that nobody will buy) instead of the black jerseys for a year. Then in '08, announce that the third jersey will be the kelly green '80 version of the jersey and it sells like hotcakes.

Obviously no one in the Eagles front office majored in math or fashion.
No takers on this snide remark, I see.Anyway, this is the 74th anniversary of the Eagles inaugural season. HTH, Joe Banner.

But it's the 75th season.
But it's the 74th anniversary, and it's being (incorrectly) billed as the 75th Anniversary Season.
Here is a look at the plans for the 75th Anniversary Season
I doubt in 1934 they celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of the Eagles. This is no different.

I like the 70s 80s Eagles uniforms. Before the dark green
For years Eagle fans have been asking for the Kelly green uniforms for a throwback. When they unvailed the Black ones a few years back now these. I read where Jeff Lurie wanted to distance themselves from that recent past. Not shure if true. I do know the demand for the 70 Jaworski years or 80's Buddy Ryan years uni's would be great. Makes too much sense.

Any truth to the rumor that Jevon Kearse is now out for the season due to a burnt out cornea?
:X Their opponents can only hope that the sun isn't out that day. Is that shade called diahrea yellow? Yikes!
