Eagles vs Bears - NFC Wild Card - Henceforth Known as the Double Doink Game (2 Viewers)

I really feel the Bears would be a better match for the Saints, but maybe the Eagles learned a lot from getting obliterated by the Saints in the regular season.
Had the Bears won, they would have played vs the Rams next week though.

I'm rooting for a NO - Chargers super bowl with Brees beating the team that tossed him aside for Rivers. That would be pretty poetic.

No doubt....and Payton has had their number.

But at this point....it shouldn't surprise anyone if PHI wins in NO.
No it wouldn't surprise anyone.  They have something going with Foles (and he didn't even play that great).  I'm definitely placing a bet on the Eagles (money line).  I don't think they'll win but the payout will be good enough where I think it's worth a shot.

Good game, Eagles fans.  Parkey has been our worst enemy all season and Nagy refused to address it.  It’s a fitting end and not unexpected.
i honestly haven't felt this bad for an opponent after losing to the Eagles in a long time. Like i said before, you guys are in good shape with Nagy and the team, so the future is bright. But i do feel for all of you

This is the revenge of Robbie Gould. FGs, since he left Chicago (per Rotoworld):

2016 (NYG): 10 of 10

2017 (SF): 39 of 41

2018 (SF): 33 of 34

He'll be  a free agent in March.

If the line is going to be double figures, I'm jumping hard on the Eagles.  Harder than I've ever done so in my life.  That game is probably coming down to the wire as well.  Unfortunately I think Brees ends up on the winning side.  But I hope I'm wrong!
looking like 8.5, and money is already coming in on the Saints.

I came into this game thinking if Bears lost it would've been because of Trubisky, and for 3 quarters it was... Eagles moved the ball but never got a real knockout until the end of the game. All of a sudden, Trubisky starts throwing godbeams and they FINALLY take advantage of the Iggles' weak secondary. They move into relatively easy FG position with plenty of time and give Parkey a spot on the right hash. Now, I grew up with my brother being a HS football star playing multiple positions, one of them being kicker. One thing he always told me is though it does vary sometimes person to person, a right footed kicker should always want a right hash spot because you can control the kick easier and if you have any sort of natural hook left, you can adjust for it aka you don't have to "push" the ball across your body. As long as your footwork is solid, you're set.

Parkjey had a second chance to time his footwork. The snap was ok, and it was a pretty windless night. He had close to perfect conditions to kick that FG and he pulled the ever loving crap out of that ball. I'm just disgusted at that; this is arguably as bad as Blair Walsh vs. the Seahawks.

Outside of Philly, nobody is happier right now than the Rams, they wanted no part of the Bears after what happened a month ago.

All that Cowboys fan chirping a few weeks ago when you all had a one game lead in the division and you won’t end up getting any further that the Eagles....so Cowboys congrats.  :lmao:
Your post makes no sense. We were talking about the eagles getting lucky.

You guys have a complex lol

Anyway, congrats on advancing

ehh, Eagles beat them the next week in LA. They will be rooting for New Orleans next week cause if the Eagles get to play in LA it will be a home game for them

I think the NFC East is out next weekend.

Cody Parkey doing interviews in the locker room. He answered them all, some jackass asked him if he thinks he'll have a job in Chicago next year. Brutal.

Should have been a tied game if he made it....that ball crossed the line on the 2 pt conversion.
Was damn close. Wouldn’t have been surprised if they called it good. It was weird, I thought the sideline cam showed it cross the tip of the goal line while the overheads didn’t. Tough call either way.

But just like Sproles up the middle, it was a bad play call.

Cody Parkey went 3-of-4 on field goals in Chicago's 16-15, Wild Card loss to the Eagles on Sunday, missing a 43-yard game-winning field goal at the end of the fourth quarter.

Parkey had a tumultuous first season in Chicago, hitting the uprights four times in Week 10 against the Lions, again in Week 17, and finally hit the upright and crossbar on the same kick against Philly with the Bears trailing by one point with five seconds remaining in the contest. On the year, Parkey went 26-of-34 on field goals and 42-of-45 on extra points. That's not good enough. Signed to a four-year deal, Parkey is very likely to be cut in the offseason after this latest blunder.
Rotoworld take. He's done on the Bears.
