Early Slate Of Games Is Pretty Lousy (1 Viewer)

Got seven games going at once, and I can't remember watching this uninteresting football in a long time.

What you say?

I'm on my laptop, with the CLE/NE game on the TV.  Just hoping not to hear Bolden's name, as I am going against him.  But yes, a few unwatchable blowouts.  The TB/WAS game has my interest though.

Bucs-WFT 1 score game late...

Saints-Titans 1 score game late...

Jax at Indy 1 score game 4th Q...OK I'm projecting but they're getting close...edited to add THEY SCORED

Detroit is locked up with Pittsburgh and fighting for their 1st win of the year, incredible

I dunno.

  • Redskins on verge of upsetting the GOAT
  • Lions threatening to go 1-8
  • Dan Quinn pwning his former employer
Then again, I'm not a Jets fan.

Has football just been bad since November started? I feel like football as a whole has just been bad for a minute.

Bad games but mostly competitive. Still better than being engrossed watching Georgia or Alabama beating the snot out of the little sisters of the poor. Only thing that saves the Saturday slate is how many games they can switch to.

43-3, 38-3, 38-7, one game with a backup QB and not even a replacement-level QB who's a joke, TB playing like garbage, and a JAX game.

No, the early games were much worse than this thread.
Just wait until they start giving each team 2 bye weeks.

Would that help with the injuries though?  Because I feel like injuries are a large part of why the current games are worse than the September games.
I don't think so. I remember 1 year long ago they trieda 2 bye week per team (google says 1993) and they gave it up after 1 year because they had too many weeks without good matchups. At least that's what I remember.

You're right, there was a year they ran a 2 Bye Week schedule which i actually would support if they would spread out the same 16 across 18 weeks, if it means a few weeks with a few less games or premier match ups so be it. People will tune in to 1-8 teams, they don't care.

As someone who exclusively watches redzone on Sunday I know it won't make a single difference to me.
