What's this now?

Just called the Stats App.  Basically just runs a bunch of "stats" on your car.  Its like $15, but worth it for the one time costs.  I utilize maybe 40% of its capability.

I'm in the DC area, it gets fairly cold here but not like Minnesota cold or anything.  This will be my first winter with it, so I'm interested in seeing what kind of range hit I get as well.

Just plugged in at a Volta charger. Can do worse than an 18 mph top off for free while shopping, I suppose, but it makes me realize how spoiled I am by the superchargers.

Also feels a little like rolling on a condom when I have to put the adapter on a foreign unit.

How often out there does one find "free charging"?  And how decent is it?  My town recently installed a pair of free charging stations, and they don't yet seem to be too busy.  Free charging would be a game changer for me - just don't know if it's a rarity out there.

How often out there does one find "free charging"?  And how decent is it?  My town recently installed a pair of free charging stations, and they don't yet seem to be too busy.  Free charging would be a game changer for me - just don't know if it's a rarity out there.

Go to Plugshare.com. Put in your zip or any area you're interested in knowing about. It'll bring up all the known charging stations in the area and tell you anything known about them.

Felt vindicated with my wife.  This was a major purchase for us.  One of my points was thats its dubbed the safest car on the planet.  No glass even broke.  Didn't feel too hot this morning.  It reminded me of how I used to feel after two-a-days in high school.  To walk away without a scratch seems like a small miracle.

Same thing that happened to me when an F-250 slammed into my back end in stopped traffic.  I could see it coming and could do nothing about it.  He claimed he was having a sneezing attack.  Riiiiiiight!

There are 2 USB ports in the consul in the front.  Just plug a jump drive in and its recording.  When in Sentry mode it records when someone gets to close to the car.  

Yesterday I had to hit an icon on the touch screen and it captures they previous 10 minutes.

This has been my struggle all along and still haven’t settled. Mileage is a big factor as I put about 25k a year on my car, so I need it to go deep into the 100’s if I’m buying used for it to make sense.  Good to hear about the Uber guy though as I haven’t seen much info on plus 100k cars.

Mileage for me is a tiny concern.  I can't see a situation where I bump into a world that causes me range anxiety.  I worry about it for resale though as seemingly if you can't do a cannonball run in a car then it's a non starter.

This footage clearly shows you stopped with reasonable room in front of you and should be valuable when settling insurance claims.

I am amazed the cabin is completely intact. I assume the air bags deployed, but don't see them in any pictures.

I'll know later today if my car is totaled.  From everything I've read and every one I've spoken too its absolutely totaled.  I was talking to one of these "Tesla Influencers" on twitter and he wants me to tweet the pics and video to Elon and Tesla.  Said they might make it go viral and Elon might hook me up.  Not sure I feel comfortable doing that.  Who knows though, it would be a great ad for them. 

Seriously considering getting a used X now.  The 2016-17 75D and 90D with less than 40k miles on them are in the $60kish range now.  Seems like for another $10k out of pocket this would be a good opportunity to upgrade.  

Is that dumb?  I get it will be a step down in range and tech.  I didn't have AP or FSD on my 3 and never cared to pay the price to upgrade, so the old AP in these 4 year old X's wouldn't be an issue.  

Anyone here have an X from those years, just curious of your experience?  Its best for my family.  There will be a few scenarios (like Starkville and back) where I couldn't make it, but overall 220 ish miles of range can get us anywhere with a little planning.
